Jazz OWN the Warriors Tonight Game THREAD

I don't think Mitchell has pulled off a decent euro-step drive so far this season. What happened? That was his bread and butter, getting through the seams, and making the impossible scoops. Did he forget how to do that? I get that there is a focus on him but there was the last half of last season and in the playoffs too. Makes me think maybe he is still nursing a bad foot.

Mitchell seems a little bulkier, a little heavier. That worries me. His drives are clearly slower and he seems to have less lift when jumping towards the basket. Getting stronger is good, but not at the cost of some of your mobility and explosion when your game is based on these abilities, IMO. Also, Mitchell has to be able to twist easily his body in the air, so becoming too muscular can become a hindrance in that regard also. In Mitchell's case, it may be best do it like Stockton: keep basically the same weight throught the years in order to remain mobile. Even in his latter years Stockton could still get lay-ups easily when he wanted.

His drives arent clearly slower.

Jerebko was the only Warrior that wasn’t gassed at the end of the game, because he’s used to Utah. It was a great tip in.

Tough one to swallow. Still, I love watching these two teams play.

I mean Ingles just bricked one on the play before... so I’m not sure he was the guy to run a last play for... I’d just rather have seen us run more action.

nah it wasn't on crowder...rudy clearly got caught ball watching and stutter stepped towards durant leaving his post, rudy mental lapse.

Slow down turbo. It isn’t selfishness... dude is a worker... how can anyone doubt that. He didn’t hit the ground running but he’s also #1 on every scouting report.

DM is our ride or die... he started slow last year too... just be patient.
Jack is too hormonal for patience. Always.

One more...

Im over Royce Oneal. Thought he was overhyped in the playoffs and he has looked lost in limited minutes so far this season. He will need to show serious improvement before I trust him again

He ended up in no mans land... had no real shot at affecting the shot KD took.

I mean we lost on a couple ball bounces.

DM is just going straight at the guys guarding him rather than keeping the guy on his back and doing the change of pace stuff... he will find his rythymn... it’s annoying when people around here doubt him and jump to conclusions.

K... I mean he played decent defense as always and barely played but yeah let’s jump to conclusions.

Yup. It really felt like every loose ball bounced the Warriors way. KD and Curry had All World performances, and we hung with them until the buzzer. I don't think anyone on the roster should be hanging their heads over this game, even though we could have executed better. Not to get all moral victory here, but there was a lot I think we will learn from this game, and we looked ****ing great.

It's going to be a fun year!

You guys are moodier than my elementary school aged daughters... it isn’t the end of the world... they played great... so did we... we can hang with them when they are actually trying... tonight was a good night.

Even though the Jazz lost, the sky isn't falling. Mitchell had a historically bad, for him, fourth quarter, and not just shooting. If that continues, the Jazz are in for a long season; it won't. Favors was terrible on both ends of the floor and looked uninterested at times. Ingles was better than ever, and should have had the ball more late. My man Burks was brutal, Niang was good. Hurts a little, but took a terrible game from Mitchell to win on a tipin with .3 left. Refs were wildly inconsistent, and decidedly favored the Warriors after Utah extended the lead to 16. Exum should have played more.

Yup, Favors Rubio and Mitchell had pretty bad games while Durant and Curry played out of this world. This should only give them confidence imo.

We tightened up a bit. We fought... our guys didn’t back down when Draymond did his BS (guy should get more techs... refs are used to getting screamed and clapped at by him).

We did great. Learn and move on.
