Both Conley and Marc Gasol had great offensive nights. Without Mitchell, the Jazz couldn't match their shot creation and scoring. That's the bottom line. We can talk about defense in certain situations, but the Grizz had a bit more offensive talent on the floor tonight.

Nah, its the defense.
 
I dont think the roster is as flawed as Houston or Okc or LaLakers.

But they Have Harden, Westbrook and LeBron.

Why? We have a really tough schedule these first few months. The Jazz have always played much better the second half of the season since Quin has been here. We were in real trouble last season, we were 9 games under 500 at one point and we still ended up the 5th seed and won the first round in the playoffs. We will figure things out and be just fine. I expect us to go on another tear the second half of the season
 
We have to remember Donovan Mitchell. Even if it’s not today (it might be) someday that kid will be leading a great team. No ones stopping the Warriors this year, but the end of their dynasty will happen eventually and it’s probably closer than it seems. That’s when we, and a few other teams, strike. And Mitchell isn’t going anywhere.

Enjoy the good. Try to quickly forget the. Bad.


Im also well aware the Gobert is our best player right now and I don’t mean to do him a disservice. But Mitchell has the ‘it’. I think Mitchell and him are an excellent pairing though.
 
Gobert and Ingles each played 37 minutes, Rubio and Crowder 32 each...tomorrow night is gonna be ugly.
 
I’m enjoying the hysterical overreacting. Ugly matchup with the Griz. Exum was so crap today, predicting a big bounce back game from him tomorrow.

We will be fine. Quin will methodically work this out by Xmas / new year.
 
There is still no reason we can’t look like a mix of the Golden State and New Orleans games. We maybe won’t hit at the same percentage, but the offense was executing great and getting really good looks. That will be wins down the road. And there’s no reason to think we can’t be that kind of team this year. They pass very well. But they’ve just been a half step off at times these games, and it looks ugly when they are. Turnovers and contested shots. But they still can generate good ones any time they execute. Numbers still love us.


The defense has been a bit weird so far. But it still looks like dudes are hitting a lot of tough shots against us. And that will slow down once the season really gets humming (presumably).

I have faith in this team.

We are better than last year. The team only need one thing, timing.
 
Man, that Grit and Grind Grizzlies are our nemesis. Remember their reserves almost beat us last season in the middle of our winning streak? We got miraculously saved by the refs and their tank commander coach.
