Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts

Yea take my statement out of context. I was responding to another poster's remarks about all the negativity around Jimmer's game. No where did I say any other player had proven themselves. Way to assume and make yourself look like a Jimmer homer.

I don't hate Jimmer at all. I think he is a great shooter and can become a very good player if he continues to work hard. However, he isn't perfect and he isn't a sure thing just like every other player. Since I was talking specifically about Jimmer, I think my concerns are right on and no different than many scouts. So quit crying and attacking people for their opinion. Jimmer is not beyond criticism and when people like you start calling people stupid just because they have a different opinion you only feed the Jimmer hate.

You ok? You calm down now? You're a tad sensitive, my friend. This is just a message styled board.......

Is SI "credible" enough for you?

Fredette offers his own (ambitious) comparisons. "Deron Williams and Steve Nash," says Fredette. "I'm not saying I'm as good. But I'm similar in size to Deron and I can play up-tempo, use ball screens well, shoot from outside, use my crossover, get to the basket and finish strong. And like Nash, I can get into the lane and finish over guys with awkward angle shots."

Not exactly the same as what you originally said.

Also, there's nothing inaccurate about what he said. He didn't say he was AS GOOD as those people. So there goes your pathetic rant out the window.

He can shoot well from the outside, does play up tempo, uses ball screens very well, has proven to be able to get to the basket, and finish over guys with awkward angle shots.

While I doubt that translates into a 30+ point scorer in the NBA, I highly doubt that his abilities will leave him struggling to have a "Ronnie Price" like career.

I still think he's overratted.

What does overratted mean?

You're welcome to your own opinion. But don't you think saying nonsense like, "He'll be lucky to have a Ronnie Price like Career" is a bit much?

Also, you didn't answer your question. Why do you think he'll struggle to be as good as Ronnie Price? And why did you bring up the whole "3 years" thing? Please, instead of using SI to bring up some entirely different point here's an idea, YOU answer the questions that have been directly sent to YOU. No more outside sources that have nothing to do with the present discussion. YOU answer and only you.

Well first let me say how incredibly sorry I am for spelling overrated wrong, captain spell check.

Also please do not misquote me, that is very disrespectful. I never said Jimmer would have a Ronnie Price like career. I said he would be lucky to be as succesful as Ronnie Price.

I actually like RP, he provides energy, athleticism, defense, hustle, grit and a good amount of leadership off the bench. If you like RP or not doesn't matter, the guy will have a good long career, he knows his role and he provides it. Jimmer may provide shooting off the bench and not much else... Whats more valuable? Depends on the coach I guess.

It's pointless to debate with you because you are a HOMER!!

How so? Unlike you, I've asked you questions and have given you ample time to respond. Just because you refuse to answer those questions or buy into your Ronnie Price argument (whether he'll have a RP like career or be as successful is the same to me. Stop grasping at straws) doesn't mean I'm a homer. In fact, it means quite the opposite.

Remember, to have a debate two people from two opposing point of views need to present evidence and discuss. You refuse to do this.

Now, remember, your next post is very important and will tell us what your true motives are (if they aren't already obvious).

I ask you one last time to answer the questions asked in the previous post.

I am plenty calm, I just didn't take too kindly to you implying that I and everyone on this board is stupid. If you have a difference of opinion then tell me your opinion you don't have to call me or my opinion stupid even if it is just a message board.

-"The Jimmer Dilemma" by Chris Mannix

You're a homer!

I would hope a 22 year old who admittedly "takes off" playing defense in college would be able to outplay the competition on the offensive end. He hasn't even been projected to get drafted in many drafts until this years "weak draft" where he'll be a lottery pick. I'm saying it took him 3 more years of college experience to be seriously considered an NBA talent. The guy is probably at his peak... I would rather have a player who is just as good, and who is 3-4 years younger. I still think he's overratted.

You're a homer!

Actually the NY Knicks wanted to draft Jimmer last year but they didn't have a first round pick so Jimmer went back to school. I think I read it on Hoopshype but I can't recall.

everyone on this board is stupid.

I did nothing of the sort. Some? Yes. All? no.

My opinion is that no one has proven they can do anything in the NBA until they get into the NBA.....Jimmer, Dirk, Malone, Jordan etc.
