Here is my Jazz draft plan.

No kidding man. On one hand it sucks that the year the Jazz get two lottery picks it's much weaker than normal, but man this is a fluid draft. I've never seen so many conflicting reports from "credible" draft reporters. I love it when the experts actually have to do work and put their ***** on the line instead of just following the media herd.

Thursday can't get here soon enough!

I think this is just the first draft any of us have followed this in depth. I didn't even pay much attention to the draft last year.

I don't see the Jazz trading draft picks to get Jimmer. Now is they could somehow con someone to take Miles off our hands for Jimmer I'm down with that.

Jimmer couldn't possibly be worse than Miles, could he?

I wouldn't trade the GS pick especially because I think Jimmer might still be there. However if the Kings take him at 7 and Kemba is off the board then I would look moving down and taking Reggie Jackson from Boston College. There might even be a chance to take Thompson at 12 or Brooks. The Jazz might just have to settle for Harris and Watson for another year. I would be ok with that but I would also look at finding a solid PG in FA/trade.

Not wise to fall in love with any one player. Even if you really feel they're gonna be amazing (in spite of many disagreeing with you). I like Fredette but Jackson looks really good too. Jenkins too. There are decent gambles at PG throughout the draft.
And I like Brooks as well. He's a decent gamble at SG. Then there's Biyombo. He might fall to 12 - I'd definitely take that gamble there. No need to bail on decent assets to gamble on Fredette (he'll probably be there at 12 anyway).


But the gamble I want most of all is the Golden State pick. Don't be pessimistic -- bailing on the pick so that we can avoid losing.:rolleyes: Discipline. Grow a pair. Yeah, it's gambling - but does anyone think GS is good enough to make the playoffs next year? I don't think so. Do you think they'll be bottom 7 (making the pick protected and not the Jazz')? They have to be worse than some pretty bad teams. And they have a new crew there trying to make them a winning team, with Jerry West helping out. I don't think they'll be bottom 7. Hopefully they'll be close but I don't think they'll be that close. But given the depth of the 2012 draft that should be just fine. Jazz will get a really good wing next year. It's a decent gamble and worth it. I like the odds. I wanna play more than just that one hand in the 2012 pot. Maybe one of these rumored Harris/Millsap trades will get the Jazz another 2012 hand to play.
