Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

I'll say it again. The Jazz need to draft Darius Garland. It'll do wonders for the floor spacing. He'd hit the ground running here in a way that people would find shocking. He'd go from backup to starter quickly I think.

I think Garland ends up out of our range (unless we're worse than I expect), he looks like a mid lotto guy to me.

Trade up for him then. Ingles and Garland can provide Mitchell as much space as he's gonna get. U don't just have to stay down on Garland because he's an accurate shooter, u have to stay close to him because his release is lightning quick aswell.

this thread should familiarize itself with Akok Akok. who's a HS kid that will be eligible for this years draft.

Check this out. He can block shots and shoot 3's.

also keep an eye on Cheick Mbackwe Diong is a super sleeper at UNLV, hyped him a bunch as a freshman he didnt really play but he's on fire to start his Sophomore year.

Rui HAchimura is tearing it up this with about 23 points per game. only shot 3 threes though

He's looked better this year. He used to be pretty soft, but he's becoming more confident as he matures. Question is whether he can do it at the next level though.

Dort from Arizona State looks really good too. Not a PG, more of a combo guard like Mitchell.

Super built, broad shoulders, shifty, can handle, shooting looks OK, athletic.

For you ****ing morons out there like Cy.

You compared Zion to LeBron. I said you're an idiot. Then you said he is built like LeBron. And then I showed you were an idiot. Now you are saying he is a big athlete like LeBron. ******* won't take responsibility for your stupidity by not owning your original points..

Some of you guys are just grade A douche bags.

Again, you are being purposefully obtuse if you think I called him Lebron James, but I guess that's your shtick.
So Zion is 2 inches taller than Barkley and 20 points heavier and all the sudden he is LeBron? So stupid.

You heard it here. Zion will end up being a 2 inch taller 20 pound heavier Barkley. If he is lucky enough to be that good.

Watch the Barkley video Cy. Learn something.

The experts are dumb too. LeBron is a unicorn. If we are using the body comparisons, why didn't everybody call LeBron Malone when he came out? Or Charles Oakley or Shawn Kemp.

People get way too over excited about comparisons. That's all I'm pointing out. LeBron is a top 5 player all time who plays the game like nobody we have seen. Don't compare some 19 year old kid to him just because they are the same size and both are athletic.

I want a piece of this.

Guaranteed Zion will be everything he advertised and more. He is a generational talent for sure.

This dude gonna be so good. He will be better than Lebron by his 3rd year.

Zion going to be so good. Good lord this guy is amazing. He is going to be a problem. I think he steps on the court, and day 1 its showtime. No learning curve whatsoever.

I think the mistake people make with him is to just assume he's all athleticism. Thats far from the truth. Dude has a lot of skill, and btw athleticism is a skill too, and this dude might be the most skilled athletically ever. If you can imagine such a thing. Look at what he can do. He is completely ambidextrous. Jumps off his right, left, or both feet like there is no difference at all. Uses both hands like there is no difference at all. He is as bouncy as anyone that has ever played the game.

He can shoot, defend, and pass the ball, but the biggest thing that is the reason why this all comes together and he becomes great is he has handles. He can put that ball on the floor and move at any speed with it. Cross it over, you name it. He is the complete package.

This dude is unreal. The funny thing is, it really throws people off because of his size. He looks kind of fat. But who cares. He dont play fat. He dont play short, he dont play slow.

So yes, his in every sense of the word, he is comparable to Lebron. The only thing you cant measure, or at least you cant without knowing him, is how smart is he? Is he as smart as Lebron? I dont know, but something tells he is pretty smart. You dont get that insanely gifted by being dumb.

Zion might become amazing, but he won't play like LeBron. He won't be the PG and run the team. Yes, he will be a big strong athletic powerful basketball player, but I have seen nothing that he plays like LeBron.

The thing is, it's not hype. There has never been anyone as athletic as Zion at his(massive) size. I'd say Barkley comes closest but even he didn't have the monstrous vertical that Zion has. Zion is a combination of Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Lebron James and Shaq. How's that for hype?

I'm with ya, NPC.

IIRC, he's played PG most of his life. Not saying he'll play PG in the pros, or be anywhere near the same passer Lebron is, but he does possess some unique guard-like abilities for someone his size.

His fast breaks are like Lebron's. His passes are like Lebron's. He shoots with confidence like Lebron. He asserts himself like Lebron. He shows off like Lebron. I could go on.

Mods, please rename this thread, "Following Zion - 2019 (not kidding)"

Zion is a specimen for sure, but he doesn't have Lebron's off-the-dribble game, and he doesn't run the floor like a wide receiver. I'm not sure he can play on the ball at the point of attack. The thing that makes Lebron unique is that he has great guard skills at 6'8", 250 lbs.
