Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts

we need more than one wing. maybe more than two. disagree? how does this change your opinion? would it be a problem if this year's wing was serviceable and next year's better than him? you are aware that it is rare for any wing to contribute much in his first year, right?

Well I was speaking strictly of the SF's like Singleton, Harris, Hamilton, and maybe Morris. I don't think they will even be as good as an early 30's AK.....ever, so would prefer just to resign him until picking an elite SF in 2012. If you want to include all wings I would not hesitate on Burks at all if he's on the board. He has a good enough handle to even play backup PG. A little iffy on Brooks and Thompson though.

i think you've misjudged Hamilton if you're including him with those other names. BTW, at this stage in their careers, I have very little doubt that he is a better prospect than Burks.

I'm with Jazz4ever on this. Don't draft a wing this year. Spend the pick on either Donatas, Biyombo, or Fredette. Or if someone else falls like Valanciunas take him. Take any one of these guys before Singleton. And Marcus Morris is too iffy at the 3.
Hamilton might be worth considering though I guess.

I know the mock drafts have Montiejunas projected in the late teens or #20, but I don't see how the Rockets can pass on him if he's there at #14.

I like Motiejunas. He seems like he could at least be as good as Bargani, which at 12 is a pretty good pick.

I think Montiejunas compares favorably to Greg Monroe, whom everyone agreed was a top 10 pick last year. Monti is taller, he's more mobile, he's an equally good passer, and he has more talent offensively. He's just not as heavy.

Greg Monroe seems like a good comparison. Both had questions about their motor coming into the draft. Motiejunas did put on a considerable amount of muscle which says to me that he is willing to put in work to improve.
