Donald Fires FBI Director who's investigating Russian Election Hacking

The part that got me was this:

That feels awfully specific. Like they've been able to verify it through surveillance cameras, and can produce a log book void of Manafort's name.
So if entry is routinely logged, but this one wasn't, what does it show?
A. Conspiracy with the embassy staff?
B. Intent to deceive by Manafort?
C. Lax security?
D. All the above?
E. ?

Someone was negligent in their duties, and why needs to be investigated.

It helps build a case for everything up to collusion and conspiracy to defraud the US Government.

Some more interesting speculation. People are concerned because Manafort's legal team, one attorney in particular, Kevin Downing, shared what Mueller's team was asking Manafort, and how Manafort was responding. And we know Manafort lied to a degree, repeatedly, according to Mueller. But, was Mueller in fact setting Manafort up?:

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2018/11/robert-mueller-paul-manafort-special-counsel-chess-game

The timing of Mueller’s split with Manafort is curious: he announced it just days after receiving Trump’s written answers to the special counsel’s questions. The tantalizing possibility is that Trump, basing his answers on what he was hearing from Manafort, lied in those written answers and has now stumbled into strengthening the obstruction of justice case against him. “Mueller built the plea agreement to permit Kevin Downing to continue to share information with Rudy Giuliani,” says Marcy Wheeler, a national security expert who blogs under the name Emptywheel. “So in the eventuality Manafort lied and Mueller didn’t tell them what evidence they had that he was lying, then that would in a sense be negative reinforcement for Trump. He would think that he was going to get away with it, just like Manafort was.”

.....If the president and his former campaign manager colluded to try to deceive Mueller, Wheeler says, it’s clear where the blame belongs. “If these two men, Manafort and Trump, chose to continue to share notes through a period when they’re both being questioned by the special counsel,” she says, “and they don’t understand that Mueller isn’t telling either one of them how much evidence he has, that’s their own damn fault, not Mueller’s.

Trumps interview today on the lawn before boarding the helicopter was amazing! LMFAO. He just keeps digging himself deeper and deeper. Here’s the video:

Thriller, your link didn't work. I think this must be the interview you're referring to. Gotta say, he was a tad manic, lol...

Well, lol, my link won't take, either. I did find his rant on the Cohen plea, but it won't take as a normal link, and it won't take as a media link.

OK, found another version. Unfortunately, in a couple of segments, the audio is missing, but it's 99% there....

So weird that the links aren’t working. A shame since trump just digs and digs himself deeper into a hole. Thanks for posting the video

Trump in admitting that he was working on projects in Russia:

A. Reveal that his prior statements denying any business dealings in Russia as lies. *shocking* it’s almost like trump lies a lot or something.
B. Reaffirm the Steele Dossier that Trump was colluding with Russia not just over blackmail but because of his never ending desire to do business there. The desire to do business is what led to being compromised in the hotel in first place.
C. Him trying to diminish Cohen as if he was someone who once rode in the same elevator with trump says a lot.
D. You could essentially retitle this press conference, “If I Did It.” OJ Simpson gave it 2 thumbs up!

Lol. And I can't wait till the next session of Congress. But Trump will fight dirty, the end game will be something to behold.

Trump saying he will declassify stuff if the Dems want to get tough?

I thought this guy was supposed to be draining the swamp? If you have info the people of the U.S. should know, release it. Release it now! I don't give half a **** about the Democratic Party, if they are dirty, burn them. Drain the ****ing swamp.

When asked about Trump Tower Moscow Trump evades, and says that "if' it happened it was legal...

Are you draining the swamp, Trump? Did you do the deal or not? DID YOU DO THE DEAL OR NOT?

Just tell the U.S. people the truth, you stud swamp draining guy.

Couldn’t agree more.

Besides does anyone actually believe that if he had info on the Dems that he wouldn’t have already used it already? This is a guy who loves taking ***** on people.

Anyone else notice that Trump describes Cohen as “weak” today?

That seems like an odd adjective.

It reminded me of Comey’s book where he said that Donald reminded him of one of those mob bosses that he took down as a prosecutor.

Anyone else find it interesting that Trump seems to defend Manafort, Flynn, and Papdopolis, yet insult Cohen with just weirdo insults, like being “weak”?

Hillary was right all along. And the last 30 seconds trump denied having any business in Russia.

Compare that with today where Trump admits that he had business plans in Russia.

Oops.

Why would trump have lied about this all along? Fake news? Witch hunt? Covfefe???

I'm having a hard time processing just how big of a deal this weeks revelations are. Feels like the clock is about to run out on Republicans to bail out before **** really starts to hit the fan.
I still think everyone needs to resist the urge to draw conclusions. More, and more information is coming out, but it's not definitive. The Mueller probe will eventually be completed. Once it is we can judge how significant it is. I almost hope they don't have a smoking gun type of evidence. The aftermath of that impeachment trial would make Watergate look like a picnic.

As far as Republicans jumping ship...I think it is too late for McConnell, Graham and the other Trump loyalists. If they haven't distanced themselves from Trump yet, they are "in for a pound. "

I'm not sure we are trying to draw conclusions as much as simply continuing to try and connect the dots in a 2+ year mystery. Things have broken faster this week, it's hard not to see that. Certainly, people on the liberal cable outlets can't seem to overstate the importance of the Cohen revelations alone, this evening. I know I drew my own conclusions long ago where Trump's Russian connections were concerned. Of course I'm a nobody, and I can't really know more then what I read and listen to. I can start with knowing he was a demagogue, but I depend on good investigative journalism, I depend on spending hours trying to understand and connect dots. And simply surmise. I think anyone who detests what this man represents to our nation are simply waiting for this nightmare to reach a true end stage. I may be disappointed when all is said and done. Or not. We're all going to see every bit of ****, every time it hits the fan.

Only Mueller knows what he has to date. I think we will know a bit more when Manafort's sentacing arrives, if we learn what his lies were. And we'll likely be reaching for conclusions then as well.

Looking at the Cohen plea and revelations, I see Felix Sater is now in the news again, as one result. In 2015, Trump claimed he would not know Felix Sater if he was in the room with him. Lol. Sure he wouldn't. There is every good reason our president has talked more like a Don Corleone then a president. This has all been out there for all to see for a long time.

I don't believe this will end well. In the short haul. How can it possibly end well when the country is this divided? But we are going to have to get through this, and find a way to actually learn and grow from it. I know what outcome I want. No second term. But the most important thing is to come out of all this in one piece in the long run. And get about facing the challenges at hand. There are many. The sooner we get this over with, the sooner we can get on with it.

I hear you.

While I say we should not prejudge this, I can't get the image of the Trump Putin press conference in Helsinki out of my mind. That visual, more than anything else, has me worried about Russia's influence. Not just during the election, but on going. It's like a bad cold war movie.

A simple defeat in the 2020 primary to a respectable Republican candidate would be the least disruptive way out. Although that may not be soon enough, there is a lot of damage he can do in two more years. I've just been worried about how polarized the country is. Regardless of how this ends for Trump, it seems Putin wins.

I want my country back, I hardly recognize it now.
