I haven't seen this posted around here from anyone else, so here it is. https://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsjazznotes/52034627-62/evans-jazz-tribjazz-amet.html.csp

Just a short video about Evans talking about off-season workouts. Says that he has put on some muscle. Most interesting thing seemed to be that Jefferson is putting in a lot of work on his body at P3 facilities. Towards the end Evans says something along the line of "I hope so, he has been up there for 2 months" there referring to the training facility, I believe.

Thanks for posting. Maybe our guys are all going to improve a lot by the time the season ever happens.

This is one of the growing reasons that I am very pro-Jefferson. Ever since his early season struggles he has done nothing but trend in a positive direction for the Jazz. Not only was he on a new team, he was still fairly fresh from his ACL injury. The fact that he was able to play a full season and got better as the season went on are two huge indicators of future performance IMO.

It certainly doesn't hurt to hear that he's working his *** off this offseason and our big guys are trying to improve on their chemistry.

nothing to dislike about this video. I forget about Evans too often. If that guy can add a consistent, set 15-ft jumper, 15-20lbs, and solidify his defensive presence, then he's a real keeper.

As for Al: do they have passing facilities down there in SoCal?

I would settle for him being stronger and in better shape so he can box out and rebound better.

Evans has a pretty solid mid-range jumper, just needs the confidence to take it more often in game situations. If he can get stronger, then he's a dynamic off-the-bench player. If he doesn't, worst-case he's a Bo Outlaw-type energy/hustle player, which would be great for a 10th, 11th man.

He was on the radio the other day. He said that putting on weight was not happening for him this summer, but muscle was.
