Game 28: Jazz @ Thunder Playoff Rematch #1 6pm MT Time

Guys - its sad to say, but we had a great run and then DL massively underachieved this summer. He overpaid Favors, brought back overpaid Thabo and overpaid Exum.

There wasn't a team in the league who wanted to pay $10 for Favors but we gave him $17. Nobody was going to give Exum more than $7, but we gave him up to $11.

Not only did we bring back guys who didn't fit well. We overpaid guys who don't fit well. Pretty f-ing disappointing.

I watched exum shut down drive attempts from russ and dennis last night. They were driving just as hard and trying to score just as hard at that point but X shut them down.

He actually is a potential solution.
He can beat his man off the dribble and penetrate.
He can finish at the rim and get to the ft line.
He is capable of making the right pass in the paint.
He is capable of stopping penetration and giving Rudy a friggin break back there.

He just needs 40 ****ing games and get the same leash as the 'trusted ones'.

He really could be a solution.
Either way, you all know that he has to be given this chance at some point. DL has invested too much not too.

I still believe Jazz will be a top 5 seed. But at what point would the FO decide to get off Rubio and Favors and start Exum. 12 games below 500 in January?
 
I don’t get why Snyder hasn’t figured out yet that Gobert and Favours on the floor doesn’t work ..

Favs has had some great moments playing the 5 , we look so much better when he plays the pick and roll...

Let him come off the bench .

I’d start Sepha at the 4 ... can hit the 3 , play great D on the perimeter and his passing is quite good ...

Crowder is a chucker ... who is best used in energy situations

Have you seen Favors stats at the 5 this year? They suck.

I’m not sure I disagree with the rest.

You didn’t see that game the other night against Capela ? 24/10 ... when he played the 5 ?

He is a great back up 5 when we play small ball ... he has no place out there with Rudy on the floor ...

So we’re going to use one game rather than a season’s worth of work to decide all this?

My point is , when Rudy and favs aren’t on the floor together at the same time the jazz look so much better ..

I think at the moment we are a contradiction... synder wants us to play fast pace , yet we have 2 slow bigs , jingles is slow ... and the thunder game you could see the pressure they put on our back court ...

I’m aussie , and have watched a lot of exum even before he went to Utah ...I’d love to see him play some 3... just let the guy run , run the floor , Ricky will find you , he isn’t being used right
