Herpes Gets Some PT

what does this have to do with Haas? you find any opportunity to hate on allen.
to be fair Allen isn't very good and was a wasted pick. No one else was touching him in round one and he wou!d of went middle of second to undrafted. They could of signed him after the draft, instead they gave him a rookie contract worth millions. Bad move by DL

now you're just being dumb. there were numerous teams after utah that tried to trade ahead of or with utah to get him. he easily would've gotten picked first round if utah didn't take him (philly, boston, lakers, GSW, etc would've scooped him up). jury is still out on what kind of player he'll be but he's shown plenty of flashes of what he's capable of. hard to be consistent w/ the depth on this team, sporadic minutes, and DNPs.

Allen wasnt falling out of the first round, they were turning down offers. I only wish, and i called it before draft night, that we traded up for shai if he fell into the teens. Our backcourt wouldnt be in question for the next 7 years - how much of a luxury would that be?!! We could have sent them our 2019 1st, dante and swapped 2018 picks.

And on Haas, cmon guys have a heart, he's one of ours even.

Link? Other then from a Utah Jazz source please. Lakers were going after a big guy all the way. Not Allen.

i can find links for you, but just go on twitter/espn/cbs/nbadraft.net and other major sports outlets around the time of the draft. givony/WOJ from draftexpress/ESPN, mike schmitz, gary parrish, jon rothstein, etc. basically everyone had him first round especially after he killed his CAA agency workout in LA and then further killed private workouts. richard hamilton even said he may go as high as around #15 after the chatter surrounding the CAA workout. it's straight from lindsey's mouth right after the draft that there were teams that wanted him trying to trade in front of utah or with utah even after jazz drafted him. you'd have to not be paying attention or not as into the draft season as I am to not realize that he was never falling out of the first round. and the lakers would've considered allen if he was there, they got lucky to get another shooter like svi in the 2nd round regardless.

So you are a big DL fan I see... you and DL need to understand that certain skills that made you a good G league player simply do not translate into the NBA. So stop looking at G league players already, what we need is actual NBA players.

If you choose to ignore a player's performance in the G League, and base player evaluation solely on other stuff: college, tryouts, and limited NBA experience, that is your prerogative. 30 front offices and the best and brightest NBA minds would strongly disagree with you, with good reason.

The G League is an unmitigated success.
