Game 31--Jazz at Houston. (allegedly)

Eh, I hate losing to the Rockets more than anything but this game aside from that was a hard fought road loss. Not nearly as disappointing as the Orlando loss.

I'm still waiting until late January to becomes really depressed if they keep playing like this though.

They keep saying hard part of schedule is over. The rest of December looks scary especially with the team playing such uninspired ball.
It starts to lighten in terms of the travelling aspect after the upcoming B2B iirc, but the quality of teams coming into SLC are still super high.

Harden’s stats are so inflated, the way he plays. I mean it feels like 90% of the times that he drives to the basket you can expect a foul to be called on him.

Yep, that’s the kind of **** that’s allowed these days, and the flopping, the flailing, the calling a foul for barely showing your hands. They should just do a 3-pt shootout. The team that makes the most 3s wins.
We would lose lol

I hate watching Harden more than any other player. Can't stand his brand of ball. It's gross. And he keeps clowning the refs.

That said, a few missed FTs and missed layups and too many turnovers cost Utah. Had another offensive drought for multiple minutes at a time. The defense was improved. I hope we can fight through the rest of the tough December games and get some Ws. Too bad we didn't get to play W's when they were all banged up.

The Jazz have now officially become the team other teams see on their schedule as a possible break. Of the next six games to close out the year, I see no more than three wins: Knicks and one of the Portland and/or OKC games. We will be lucky to emerge out of December less than 5 games under .500. Right about where we were last year, give or take. The odds of a similar turnaround this season? I wouldn’t bet on it. I was worried when the FO did nothing to bolster the roster in off season, while everyone else was trying to upgrade, and I was wary of the high expectations. This will get worse before, IF, it gets better. Can’t say how glad I am that I opted out of season tickets this season.

If I turn out to be wrong, I’ll be estatic.

I don’t get what Quinn in trying to do here

He uses ingles to be the playmaker role ... joe can do it every now and then , but when he drives and can’t find gobert , turn overs happen or he kicks out to a wide open rubio who can’t hit the back board .

It also takes away from Joes game , he needs to be standing at the corner 3 and let Rubio drive in and kick ...

I thought we were hard done by today with the refs , Rubio got pushed by Paul late in the 4th , driving in the lane , and rubios foul on a harden 20 steps step back 3 didn’t help ...

The ****ing NBA in a nutshell. I stopped watching the game after the 3rd quarter. The game was tied then the following happened:

Harden runs full stop into Gobert and they give him a 3 point play
Harden runs by Crowder, who doesn't touch him, 3 point play
Harden hits a travel jump back 3
Gobert gets fouled down low, no call, PJ Tucker with the wide open corner 3
Quin gets a tech

I turned it off. I'm not shocked to see the result. Or Harden getting 16 free throws. Or Harden getting away with a 5 step travel going backwards.

The NBA man....

Fyi- Karl Malone

13250 career fgs
9619 career fts

And in his day people complained he got too many whistles. Harden is in a different sphere.

Yep. And Malone was a big man in a day when people actually posted up. And there were a lot of times they just fouled him instead of letting him get straight to the basket.

Nobody tries to foul Harden. He has to draw every foul which makes his ratios that much more nauseating.
