Scroll to about 3:50 for a little interesting tid bit on John Stockton. I know it's fairly known on here that Payton respected Stockton, but I personally havent heard him really explain it.

I respected the Glove as a player, but that interview is hard to watch.

The part about Stockton is funny really. He uses Stockton's quiet nature as an excuse for Stockton owning him. He just own up and say Stockton outplayed him but you can tell from the rest of the interview that ain't happening.

I can't imagine Payton leaving all his trash-talking on the court. I think he would have been on Twitter just like Embiid but he'd be doing it if he thought it'd gain him an edge on the court.

Two all-time greats, the match-up was amazing and amazingly close. There is a credible argument that Stockton edged Payton, but "owned" is silly.
