ESPN did an article where current players got to draft for their respective teams. Big Al took Kemba #3 and Donatas at #12.

"Kemba is a winner and a fierce competitor," says center Al Jefferson. "He's very good at creating his own shot and getting shots for teammates. He can learn a lot from Devin Harris. I see those guys playing together at times. That combo would be very difficult to defend."

This Italian League ace is Al Jefferson's pick: "His ability to score in the post and shoot from the outside with his height [seven feet] is impressive." But Motiejunas weighs just 224 pounds, so "rebounding and defending against meatier NBA players will be an adjustment."

He is right that a Kemba and Knight backcourt would be difficult to defend but that lineup would get absolutely destroyed on D.

Then on Donatas, he could help space the floor for al (Like Memo for Booz) but Al isn't smart enough to know he added 20 pounds but he still will struggle with D and rebounding but thats where Favors and Big Al come in

Al is probably to busy working out and training and living a life to know that Donatas gained 20 lbs.

Did Al and I just become best friends??????

I know I made a thread specifically to distract me from draft talk during this week, but I couldn't help it. That's my ideal combo. I'm foaming at the mouth for Thursday now.

Signed,
The guy who: ORIGINALLY clamored for Hayward in November his sophomore year of college, said the rapture wouldn't happen and that Raja Bell was the worst addition to the Jazz since the Greg Miller got Parmesan garlic wheat thins for the pantry in the front office (Yuck!).

If we for some reason select Kemba Walker at #3 it will probably go down as the worst draft pick in Jazz history.

Honestly not. Kemba can contribute the most to an NBA team in his first season as a pro. The Jazz are on the playoff bubble (finishing 12) in the regular season. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz do draft Kemba because we arent a rebuilding team as of now but I would prefer Knight because of his defense.

I realize that this is a fairly poor draft, but isn't a top 3 pick usually supposed to be a franchise changer? Walker isn't turning us into a contender. Are we really a playoff bubble team? The only reason we finished 12 is because we had a strong start when we had a top 3 pg on our team. If we aren't a rebuilding team, we should be.

The Jazz were 8-16 minus Deron Williams. The Jazz are not a playoff bubble team in the west right now. After a year or two? Definitely. Not now though. Especially after this draft and a new coaching staff for a full season, we'll have a lot of youth and inexperience all around.
