Jazz draft day contest

We have a lottery draft contest, why not have a Jazz draft day contest.

I say the Jazz trade for the second pick for Millsap, Bell and 12th pick. With the second pick the Jazz take Derrick Williams. Then the Jazz trade the 3rd pick to the Wizards for 6 and 18. With 6th pick they take Vessely and with 18 they select Norris Cole.

So the Jazz come out with Derrick Williams, Jan Vessely and Norris Cole

If this was what the Jazz did, I think I would shoot myself in the head. If you watched ESPN last night and saw what Vesely's coach had to say about him, then you wouldn't be having the Jazz trading down to get Vesely. He can't shoot, post up, pass, barely can rebound, terrible ball handling skills, and a sub-par defender

Oh I hate this idea but I went on my gut and think if the Jazz trade down from 3 Knight will be taken at 5 and they will pick Vessely and thought of a out of no where pick and chose Norris Cole because we worked him out

Millsap, Bell and the 12th for Williams @#2 I would do, but i wouldn't then do the trade with Washington. Having the #2 + #3 (and getting Knight or Kanter too) would be fantastic.

Why would Minnesota want Bell in the deal for #2? Right now, Bell's inclusion is the equivalent of a deal killer.

I hope Utah trades Millsap for Pietrus, Lopez and the 13 pick. Then trade Lopez for Ekope Udoh and the 11th pick and then uses the 11, 12, 13 picks on Jimmer, Singleton, Thompson

Why is there so much love on this board for Williams? I really think he is much more a PF then SF and we already have our PF of the future.

I like this but it'll never happen.

As Minny already have Love, they'll be looking more in the direction of McGee (Wizards) or Hibbert (Pacers) or Bogut (Bucks).

Instead...

Trade Millsap to Cavs for #4 I would do. Cavs get a veteran big man to help guide their young core of forwards (Hickson) and strengthen their front line. Then pick up Knight & Kanter at #3 and #4.

Win/Win situation IMO.

Why would you trade a 17 and 9 guy for the possibility of drafting Kanter/Knight. I mean both have potential but I'm not sure about any one in this draft to give up Millsap. I'd rather trade Jefferson for Rudy Gay, Iggy or Granger then Millsap for the 4th overall pick. If we trade Millsap, I want James Harden or someone who is proven not a draft pick.

Jazz will walk away with Irving & Motiejunas minus GS's pick.

I'd like that a lot. It just makes sense for the Cavs to go Derrick Williams with the #1 and Brandon Knight #4. I think the Wolves would then look to trade the 2nd pick b/c they wont take Irving but could take Kanter but doubt it. Utah then trades #3 and GS pick for #2 and nab Irving.

No secret Millsap is undersized and not a long term solution for us.

His intangibles (work ethic, character) diminishes as we draft high character guys (Hayward, Evans, Knight).

So you trade him for someone who isn't proven in the NBA? I bet KOC would have 10 better offers for Millsap then trade for the 4th overall pick...
