What's new

Walt Perrin on KSL News

He does not say "our", or even start to say it.

"We believe he could eventually be a pretty good leader for....uhhh....a franchise."

I did notice Perrin was fidgeting a lot more and smiling more when talking about Kanter. Overall he seemed more excited. Take it with a grain of salt.

And I thought he had pretty good body language talking about Knight. Didn't sense the same about Kemba or Jimmer. Then again, I'm a lousy poker player.

The only thing I learned from that video is that the Jazz are debating between Kanter and Knight

I already knew that though..........

Another wrinkle: I ran the video backwards and he clearly says "Brandon killed the walrus" at the 3:02 minute mark. Does this mean the trade will involve Milsap?

"we're still trying to figure that out.." when referring to a part of Knight's game. That's not exactly certainty. Sounds like they were a little ticked that he didn't work out with Kemba and Jimmer. Although, he did correct Knight's effort from hard to "extremely hard".

The tone seemed to be the same but came much easier when talking about Kanter, Kemba and Jimmer.

To me, this says that they liked Knight the best, but that he really disappointed them by not joining their 2011 Ultimate PG Battle! ;)

In other words, it sounds like they still aren't sure yet who they're going to take. Although, it sounds like they are considering Knight, Kemba and Kanter.

Of course, Irving and Williams weren't mentioned, for obvious reasons, but I'd still be interested in Walt's take on both of those players.

As for who I like for the Jazz?

I get a good vibe from Kemba and Jonas V.

Although, I also think, from who is available, several stand out to me as good fits for the Jazz: Kanter, Knight, Kemba, JV, Singleton and Tobias.

All a smokescreen, taking Jan Vesely. :)
