My hope is that Allen really starts to show something the next couple weeks (and months of course) while he has the opportunity to increase his trade value.

Maybe we could pull a Lyles 2.0 and use him and our 1st to move up.

Given this is a shaky draft after the top tier, I think Allen, our 1st, and maybe even a 2021 1st, could be enough to move up a lot, if we fall in love with someone.

I think we should keep Allen. If he figures it out a bit more, he could fit nicely next to Donovan. Since he was drafted, I thought he would be a great bench wing for down the road. I still have faith in that.

If Donovan leads us to 10 wins as the starting PG (much like HH was saying), we should trade Rubio before the deadline although I know our Front Office doesn't usually trade guys even when we know they might just let them go.

If Allen comes to resemble the player he was at Duke in his senior year (with more disciplined and focused defense), that’s pretty ****ing good next to Mitchell.

He's shown some flashes... just looks pretty overwhelmed... understandable but I think we all hoped he was a little more ready since he's older/experienced. He hasn't had any time to really put it all together yet. I wasn't a big fan of the pick, but I'm pretty optimistic he'll be at least a solid rotation guard in the next 2-3 years. He's shown he's capable of playing defense... which was my biggest worry. I don't think he has a lot of trade equity anyway.

lindsey is not going to trade him. he's cheap, fits their culture, and is improving in a short timeframe in a difficult rookie year so far. he's a perfect fit next to donovan if he becomes what he's capable of and what quin/lindsey drafted him for.

i think he was/is ready offensively; he showed that in preseason and didn't look overwhelmed at all. defense was always going to be his problem and i think he was shellshocked at the amount of early DNPs and limited minutes. between injuries and the lack of PT, it clearly affected his confidence/rhythm, same with georges. he's going to get better as his time on the floor increases. even if his shot isn't falling, at least he's proving that he won't hurt the team so much defensively which is by far his most important tool to get playing time. this rookie season is almost identical to his freshman year at duke. we can only hope it ends the same way his freshman season did.

I think any of those three could mesh very well with the kind of offense that we run with Rubio.
Unfortunately, Favors is so vastly better than any of those guys that, in the end, the team wouldn’t take a step forward.

I’m not a Vonleh fan at all, but those other guys would be worth considering as bench pieces, though (in fact, Bjelica would be one right now if I were running things).

I don’t think the pool is very big but drop Mirotic as a “Favors” caliber player then, I really like him as well.

Donovan has been playing lights out after starting at pg and the jazz have won 5 straight. Right now, he's the Damian Lillard for the Jazz and is tearing it up. I'm going to feel a little bit uneasy when Rubio returns. I like Rubio but he's too unpredictable at most times and becomes Bricky Ricky too many times. It pains me to say this, but I'd trade him now for a player will helps in the playoffs. But then again, DL will never do that as of right now.
Trade Ricky for who?

I hate Ricky's shooting, but none of the players you mention are any better from 3 than Ricky and are worse at running the offense (I think the jury is still out on DM). Why do we want to dump Ricky again?
DM is better from 3 but his percentage isn't as good because he is getting a lot more attention from the defense.

On the Bricky front, is the current starting five the five we roll with the rest of the year?
