Jazz vs Nuggets

How is it possible that I still can’t stand the Nuggets even when they don’t have Kmart Lips, JR Smith, and Melo?

Jokic is a hell of a player but those elbows... and the flopping... and the nonstop complaining to the refs?

I hope they drop to the 8th seed and get swept by the Warriors.
I hope they get us and get swept by us.

I'm hurting this morning.
Went to bed after the game ended. Then my daughter woke me up at 3. Been up ever since and now gotta work all day. Luckily it's a pretty easy day at work.

We play again on ESPN at 8:30 next Wednesday in Portland. That will be a big game

Looking at our schedule there is a stretch in March that goes pelicans, pelicans, Memphis, okc, suns, wolves, nets, wizards, Knicks, Hawks, bulls, suns, Lakers, wizards, hornets, suns, king's, Lakers.
Then finish with nuggets and clippers to end the year.

The Suns, Lakers, wizards, hornets is a 4 game home stand.
3 of our last 20 are against the suns. Plus you add the bulls, Knicks, and Hawks in there. That's 6 automatic wins. No Golden State, no Milwaukee, no Toronto, no Boston, no 76ers.

I could see us finishing those last 20 games 15 and 5.

Jokic is a whiner... dude got a pretty good whistle... traveled and put his elbow in Rudy’s chin and neck then acts like it’s the worst call ever.

Imagine if they had Rudy and Donovan? They could have been a contender, they could have been somebody, instead of bums...

I wanted to point out that we started with Favors on Jokic (probably because Favors is stronger than Gobert and can hold him off and slow him down alone in the post more easily. For the 5 something minutes Favors was on Jokic he had a grand total of 0 points, 1 rebound(defensive) and 0 assists. Favors was not giving him ANYTHING(and we were leading by 8 in that stint). I think Quin's plan was working great. Until Favors decided to do whatever it is that he wanted to do there. That was very poor judgement on his part, especially knowing how important he was to the team in this specific matchup.

This is very uncharacteristic for Favs so I'm very willing to forgive and forget that one. I hope he realizes he's still very important to the team.

Faves should have sat that bitch Plumlee with an old school Glasgow kiss.

That would be such a waste of Jokic... he would have to play the Derrick Favors role...

Just thinking how brutal this season was for Donovan until recently. He had it so rough at times. But he looks like a 22-year-old again instead of a 45-year-old. I guess it's possible it was general soreness but the difference in the way he's moving is stark, and I wonder if he played through an injury.

Anyways, great to see he's back and I think in the long run being tested like that will be a good thing for him.

Mitchell’s season stats just refuse to look noticeably different.

So tough when you get off to a rough start.

"It's very difficult, no doubt," Crowder said of not reacting. "If we was in the park it would've went down. It would've went down for sure but like I said, you've got to think about your teammates, you've got to think about the situation that's at hand and we're trying to win the game here and I didn't want to make it a me against him but it would've went down back if it was at a park."

The schedule early in affected him too. (As it did many of our players)

All that travel leaves little time for rest, practice, film sessions, etc. Plus the travel itself can wear on ya. Add in the mental part of struggling due to those factors and you can mentally get down on yourself and lose confidence.
Schedule eased up and players got more rest, less travel, more practice, more film sessions, more confidence, more time at home, etc etc.

People don't realize it's not just the road games and difficult opponents part of that toughest opening schedule in NBA history that sucked but so much more goes into playing that brutal schedule.

It's why I was never worried when the team was struggling.
