What's new

Dante has been out forever because he ded

Is it my imagination or do we seem to win more when Dante is out of the game than when he plays ?

For those that keep talking about Exum's potential.. Exum is 23.. Mitchell is 22.
Exum needs to start doing something useful..

What I don't understand is that in all of the time he has been injured, he hasn't strengthened the other body parts that weren't injured. It's like he doesn't even look like he works out. Mitchell looks stronger and fitter than Exum..

Best basketball. Lol. They played good against the Denver. Everyone else they have played hasn't been that good.

Playing bad teams doesnt mean they haved played bad. You dont seem to understand that you can play bad teams but still play good basketball.

It's your imagination, Exum has been the focal point of by far and away the best non-Mitchell lineup the Jazz have had this season that has played significant minutes, and that bench lineup was often bringing the Jazz back into games while the starting lineup started off the first quarter slow towards the end of December. Jazz winning more games with Exum out is more to do with the significantly easier schedule, the fact that Donovan Mitchell decided he was an all star in 2019 and the team has completely locked in defensively with Rudy at the helm.

Just being brutally honest, Jazz are playing the best ball in the season so far, back in middle of playoff race and all of that with Exum injured. As I said, sadly he is not a difference maker.

Context: Everything and everyone look pretty incredible when DM goes Spida.

We just played the softest stretch in our schedule.

If any of you putzes had a third degree ankle sprain you’d be out for 6 weeks, do a **** job on physio, & have a **** ankle for the rest of your life.

Chill out.

Where did you read he had a third degree ankle sprain? That's usually a month+ on the shelf - see Lonzo Ball.

He was initially diagnosed with 2 weeks.

Couple things.

1. Ive seen Exum have bad stretches but his play has never cost us games...

2. Minutes played:
DM: 4164
EXUM: 3917

Potential.. tbh who knows? But he's the same age as Grayson and between the two who do you think has more "potential"?

3. So, what makes you think Dante isnt getting stronger?? Have you never seen him defend a big in the post? Box out? Set picks?

Ive enjoyed the win streak but Im having severes Dante withdrawals!!

39 games. I got 39 games. Its a start. Kid's luck will turn eventually and I saw enough in this stretch to remain optimistic about who he'll develop into.

Missed a huge opportunity with Rubio out along with the soft schedule. Total nut punch.

If his progress this year is legit, I expect him to pick up where he left when he comes back.

Exum being a spazz is probably my bigger issue here. Layups he goes flailing about and falling down all the time. In this case, he lands on some dude’s foot. There’s zero awareness on multiple levels on his part.

Is he just going to come back after the all-star break, take six weeks to get back into playing as he had been, be hot and cold (more this) in the playoffs, and then we’ll all be saying, “Next year is gonna be his year!” for like the fifth time in his career?

That’s where it feels like we’re headed. Yet again.

I'm sure you'll craft that narrative into whatever he does. The reality is that he was killing it the last month and definitely turned a corner when given the responsibility with the ball in his hands. If he comes back and Quin stops letting him run PnR he won't be as effective because his skillset isn't being a 3 and D wing. If he trusts him and lets him run the second unit he'll continue to play well.

Just being brutally honest. You haven't looked at the strength of schedule over the last 12 games, have you?

How anyone can say Dante hasn't been an impact player this season is beyond me. Our second unit has been sorely hurting without him and Neto in the guard rotation.

Dante is our heroin habit.

He looked like next-level Dante right before he got hurt though.

One would hope 11m a year buys you a rotation level player.
