This is unexpected. Looks like both KOC and Memphis GM made a similar move after seeing him play. The difference is we are going to get a pick or lots of cash for this soon in addition to saving a lot of cash last year. Maybe KOC is not as stupid as some people thought.

It makes you wonder if he really is smart, then he goes and drafts Hayward.

I wouldn't object to Brewer coming back if the 2/3 spot thins out. He was a decent player in the system, although I'd rather see him come off the bench.

I think Brewer will get picked up by someone. He'd fit pretty well in Phoenix, LAL, OKC, and other playoff teams.

When did KOC say Hayward was better than Johnson? Do you have link?

I never though Wes was a good prospect, because he is 23 years of age and was playing against 20 year olds and didn't exactly dominate. Hayward at 3 years younger and better prospect. Would be good to see what KOC had to say about him.

Said he was the best player on the floor when they played Syracuse, its from the draft night interview I think.

Maybe I'm giving KOC too much credit, but I thought he was implying that Hayward was having a better game than Johnson, not that he was necessarily a better player in general.
