Anthony Davis requests trade. Pels become league’s biggest seller

The Lakers + Jrue is a lottery team still and would be better off moving Jrue too to go all in on youth.

The Celtics package + Jrue can still compete especially if they nab Horford in the deal too (which I think they would).

You are judging 2 x 21yr olds and a 23yr old in his sophomore season. They are still a year or two away from delivering on their potential.

Right so why keep Jrue in that case when if we're assuming in two years time they'll be reaching their potential Jrue will be on the wrong side of 30 and nearing the end of his contract when you could move him for assets or players that fit the timeline of the other young guys instead? That way as well you let the Warriors dynasty start to burn out (if it hadn't already been split up) and many of the other superstars in your conference start to hit the wrong side of 30 as well.

I trade AD to NY for Porzingis, Hardaway and NY's 2019 1st.

Then trade Mirotic.

Then find a big trade for Jrue.

Tank like hell (you can't tank if you take LA deal or you wait until summer).

Result for NOLA: top 3 NY pick, top 7 NOLA pick, pick from Jrue, Porzingis. That's a brighter future than Jrue and LA guys or Jrue and Tatum.

Consider me mildly interested in E’Twaun Moore. Iirc, he’s developing as a PnR ball handler, has some defensive chops, and is a threat from 3.

Makes $8.8 this year and $8.6 next year.

He’s 6’4”ish and weighs 190ish
He's horrendous on D

Lonzo Ball is super interesting. Terrific team defender.

He's basically a longer more athletic Ricky Rubio. He has issues, but I believe in his 3pt shooting.

I think Utah, a team with actual development staff unlike the Lakers, could really unlock Lonzo.

He’s ***... shoots 40% from the free throw line... that ain’t a development staff issue.

No thanks to the worse shooting, injury prone, version of Ricky who has a delusional loud father. We thought mama Burke was bad.

Who cares about his dad?

And yeah, I think a lot of its development staff issue. The Lakers are infamous for having a terrible/under qualified/under manned staff. He was a very good 3pt shooter at UCLA on NBA range 3s and shot 67% from the ft line. A change of scenery w/ a strong development staff is what he needs.

The Jazz would... they do a ton of digging into guys families and upbringing.

Nah that jumper is broke AF... makes Ricky and Terry Rozier look like Steve Nash and Ray Allen. He’s been developed by his pops for years... ain’t like he’s Embiid and started at 15. He’s *** and anyone saying he will develop his shooting is guessing. Good defender, good passer, shooting might be the single most important skill in the nba and he is so friggin bad there. Also not a good finisher, also can’t stay on the court... that’s before you get to his idiot dad.

You can have a great bowl of ice cream but if you drop a giant turd in it it becomes inedible.

Yeah and they would dig up he comes from a two parent household, has never had problems with the law or drugs. So his dad is loud? I don't think Utah would hate getting more national attention.

And he's a 33% 3pt shooter. He isn't that bad at shooting. He's showed improvement. He tweaked his mechanics this year and improved. He was shooting 36% from 3 in 2019.

The Jazz improved Rubios jumper and he'd been a pro since 14 years old.

If you’re taking on a PG rehab project then you have to look at Fultz who would likely be cheaper to acquire.
