Do you mean we can discuss the pros and cons of the most rumored/probable transaction? On this sports forum, son?Yeah, so you all can go back to this Conley BS

After tonight Magic and Pelinka gonna be like... so about us pulling out of the negotiation... how many firsts do you want?
Possibly. I don't think a lot of people realize how close the Jazz were to winning the west last year.
Look, NO move the Jazz can logically hope to make will definitively make them a better team than the Warriors. None. Nada.
Not Jrue Holiday.
Not Tobias Harris.
Not Jabari Parker.
Not Aaron Gordon.
Not Nikola Mirotic.
Not Lou Williams.
Not Zach Lavine.
Not anyone we have discussed as a logical possibility.
Unless there is a miracle situation where we could land a KD, AD, LeBron, Butler, PG13... like an All NBA level talent, we aren't going to move the needle as much as everyone on Jazzfanz would love.
So you're asking the wrong question. The question isn't "Does Conley make us the best in the west?", it's "Is Conley the best option out of the realistic possibilities in this moment?". The answer is debatable in my opinion. I understand both sides of the argument. If the Jazz make the trade I understand it. I do think it would make us better.
That's why I want the Pels to publicly offer an AD-for-LBJ trade. Lakers will obviously say no... and the rest of the team can then ask whether they were really all-in on acquiring AD, or all-in on pandering to LBJ's whims. And so will anyone thinking of LA as a free agent destination.Lakers getting gut punched by the Pacers... who have struggled. I guess when you publicly throw everyone on your team in a trade they stop playing super hard... weird.
Gonna be awkward in LA on Friday when nothing happens.
Good thing if we are trade for him he's not the centerpiece of our team.
Thats not the point.
He has a salary like he is the center piece of the team. If we do this, thats pretty much it. We arent getting any better. There will be no hope of adding anyone of significance.
Conley is fine if he is on a contract that matches his play.
All we would be doing is adopting the same problem Memphis has.
Also, just because we can make it work because we have Donovan for cheap doesnt mean we should.
Nope, he would only be the highest paid, most experienced, have the ball in his hands more than anyone else and most nights gaurd the most explosive player on the opposing team.Good thing if we are trade for him he's not the centerpiece of our team.
If Gasol is not playing and Conley is playing tonight, doesn't that mean that Gasol is the one being traded, or at least he is almost sure to be traded. It also means nothing is imminent on moving Conley and he may not be traded.
Do you really think that lowly of Ricky? I’d happily have him back at around $12ish, which would be a team discount (perhaps a steep and unrealistic one). If we got a legit stretch-4, then things would improve a lot with him.Why would we want to use any of our cap space on re-signing Rubio?
If AD added the Clippers as one of his preferred destinations, would it be possible for us to be a part of a 3 team trade to land Harris? Would LAC and UT be able to put together a better package than the Lakers? I don't know about the Clippers assets, but would Favors, Exum, Allen, + 2 or 3 first round picks get the ball rolling on our end?
If the Clippers landed AD, they could push for Kawhi in the offseason which puts them back towards the top. If we could somehow land Harris to help AD get to the clippers I'd be ecstatic. Gobert, Harris, Ingles, Mitchell and Rubio is a damn good looking starting lineup...

Except that losing AD takes any chance of being competitive away for a long time. Pels would want assets to rebuild for the future, not to half *** it for a couple years. Harris is 26 and an UFA so him being the pillar of the trade for the Pels is laughable. IF he actually resigned with them, they wouldn't be relevant until long after his prime is over..Come back to reality. Any trade involving the Clippers for AD would include Harris going to the Pels.
If we offered 2 or 3 first round picks and the clippers offered 2 or 3 first round picks, that beats the issue of draft picks. I mean, if first round picks are the main target for the Pels then a Lakers team featuring Lebron and AD shouldn't be that appealing.Only scenario where we land Harris outside of FA. Maybe Exum and a first or salary and a first for our part. NO would have to love SGA and not have any hope of re-signing Harris. A few firsts and SGA, Exum, Expirings... kinda meh.
I think Lakers end up giving 3 or 4 unprotected firsts with their young guys and NO ends the drama and disappears into irrelevance.
