2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

I still maintain that Seikaly, that son of a bitch, cost us a title.

I don’t think so.

If memory serves, his career essentially ended as he had an undisclosed injury that severely hindered his ability to play. I don’t think he really played much basketball after that injury.

So that (failed) grade actually ended up being a blessing in disguise as we retained our lesser but healthy talent.

Had he remained healthy? You’d probably be right. But he wasn’t healthy and had we successfully traded for him we would’ve been left with a box of broken goods.

Conley knows he's getting old and wants to go to a winner. Utah isn't bad, but getting Conley doesn't push them to elite and he knows it. He'd rather to go somewhere that's a top five team this year.

Which is fine - screw him. He's overpriced and we should go younger if anything.

You wont find one post of mine clamouring for Conley in this forum--

if the Sixers have the ****ing balls to pull in Butler and Harris on rentals, we can throw an insane package at Jrue. Don't waste Rudy and Donovan's peak years on waiting for the "right" deal. Go get Jrue you wimps.

**** that *******. Moving on.

Utah doesn’t exactly do itself any favors.

The legislature commonly goes against the mainstream. Just look at how they’ve killed Medicaid expansion, propositions (like medical marijuana) and look the other way on civil rights. We have a reputation for being backwards and we’ve done our part to earn it.

Fans acted like *** clowns after we beat OKC. I was embarrassed by how fans stuck phones right in westbrook’s face.

And there enough smoke about how inappropriate our fans can be regarding race to warrant at least suspicion that there’s a fire. I personally haven’t heard racist things said at games. But there’s been enough players and former players to comment that it at least warrants some consideration.

For POC, there aren’t many worse destinations in the league. Factor in the small market stigma, and it’s an even harder sell. Had Gobert played in Los Angeles or Boston, he’d have been an all star at least 3 times over by now.

The fact that it’s being reported is bad, regardless if we get him or not. DL ain’t giving Windhorst **** for intel ever again.
I hate Windhorst. He's right up there with Bucher and Broussard as blowhard hack mother****ers.

Yes... add this to the Harper "you play in utah" and Seikly not reporting... FML I thought we were past this. They can move him elsewhere or keep him... I'm out.

Something to be said for guys that like it here and buy in I guess. I'm a little sad.

this wasn't KD or PG either... this was a dude playing in Memphis that is a great guy that said utah's up and coming team... Nah I'm good.

I sit literally behind the visitor bench 6-10 times a year and I’ve lit’cherally never heard anything remotely racist.

Yes. Getting Iso Joe was one of the best free agency moves we've done in a decade.

Sheer luck as he was an undrafted player that was cut by the clippers. Jingles’ success isn’t so much about the jazz finding him as it is about him working his *** off and improving. He wasn’t near the player he is today when he first joined the team. Jingles is a testament to hard work more than any outstanding scouting job.

He sucks... lucky he went to HS with Lebron... he's arrogant AF and his "don't aggregate this" is so annoying. Always acts so put out... dude gets paid a bunch of dough to be Lebron's fan boy.
