Yeah you are correct on that. I was thinking Pistons could've used Bullock and Johnson as trade assets to get Conley but then I realize they are expirings which MEM wouldn't want.

I think it's possible if TOR throws in some more sweeteners like Siakham if they were really serious. I don't think TOR would be that silly though.

Signing iso joe at the very end of his career doesn’t exactly classify as signing a meaningful free agent.

Using this logic, shouldn’t we be congratulating the Nets for signing an aged Paul Pierce? How about the Suns for acquiring shaq?

Are we really going to base our success criteria on signing free agents on “big names who are 5 years past their primes?” If that’s the case I’m out. You win. We will definitely win GM of the year once we sign Steph curry and Klay thompson in 2030 so they can play a collective 10 minutes per game for us.

You do know that Conley will eat up 1/3 our cap for the next 2.5 seasons? While costing us assets. He is a slight upgrade over Rubio. We dont even need another guard to take the ball out of DM's hands. The trade makes zero sense.

All for a guy who has never been an allstar. Shoots 43%. Has never had a 40+ pt game or 15+assist game

What if the Conley trade is the only scenario the Jazz pickup Parker off the buyout market? Would that make you happy?
