2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Man if we pass on Conley and Exum is the reason why... he better turn it up... we are doubling and tripling down on this guy.

I'm probably in the minority but think I'd rather retain Allen than Exum.
 
If the trade with Memphis is Favors, Rubio and a FRP I think I'd pass. So what if Rubio walks in the summer. Sometimes the best deal are the ones you pass on.

After watching both this season that is a crazy hot take. Exum has shown so much more. Allen can barely stay on the court.

Regarding players not wanting to come to Salt Lake, I don't think it's about 'racism' so much as being a small, quiet town in the mountains that lacks the diversity and excitement of other cities. It's about being a cool place to hang.

Sample is so small on Grayson and while he is older he's still a rook. I think there is potential there.

Exum is such a weird/unique player that it is hard to peg what if anything he can become. He showed a flash... he does that... then he got hurt... and he's had his own struggles. He is much more expensive so removing him may lead to us investing cash elsewhere... so it's like Grayson and cash. I know if we get Conley there isn't cap space, but there are scenarios where we get against the tax with Exum and don't use MLE to improve elsewhere.

Grayson may end up sucking... but he will suck and be cheap.

There’s also the financial component-we don’t get a lot of attention as a small market. That means fewer followers, less exposure, fewer endorsements, less non-salary money. It’s understandable.

I wish the general public didn't want to come to Utah. Unfortunately I have been hearing that we are one of, if not #1, fastest growing states in the country. Pisses me off tbh
