2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Jazz have been consistent in targeting people they had interest in in the past. Lowry was almost a free agent signing by the Jazz, but they decided to wait on Hayward’s decision instead of signing him.

Lowry is also a known pain-in-the-*** for his own teams. He'd have to still be pretty ****ing amazing to look the other way about that and his contract.

Which is par for the course. Hold out, move a few minor pieces, claim financial flexibility which never gets used, and organic growth for "improvement". SSDY

The OP was asking for DL to trade for another team's bench player, and then crying it would never happen, because (in his/her opinion) it never does.

Doesn't matter. Mitchell is selling tons of merchandise and season ticket holders are being hit with a huge price increase. As long as the general public continues to support a treadmill team, the FO has little incentive to take risks.

Dennis first priority is to ensure he has a job until retirement. The board's role is to maximize profits. Both are doing a helluva job at that.
Agree and this is how you lose these guys. DM and Rudy seem to love it here but these guys also want to win. If our FO continues to play everything safe and be content I could easily see these guys going the Hayward route and it'd be tough to blame them.

Since the truth about Exum is finally being told I am just going lay this out there as well.

The reason why you guys dont like Jabari is because he is Mormon.

There I said it. The truth is out there now.

Y'all know he is a baller. You just dont want mormon baller. You have hated every mormon baller ever.

P.S. I am not mormon or religious.

The reason I'm specious about Jabari is that he's on a $20M contract, he's had serious injuries, he doesn't play much defense, and he's been an inefficient offensive player. I don't care that he's Mormon.

I think Conley is leaking the Lowry stuff and Lowry leading the Conley stuff and Rubio licking the Favorz stuf and Favers leakjnfds Rubio...

According to the reporting by Tony, it seems like we've upped our offer by adding a 2nd round pick. Memphis is beginning to piss me off because it seems like they're being unreasonable... leaking stuff like "two first rounders for Conley is fair!" when literally nobody in the NBA is going to give them that.

Derrick Favors is a good player in his prime with another year on his contract. He's not just a throw-in.

Tony Jones said Indiana offered a young player (Aaron Holiday) and a vet for Conley, but Memphis’s counter was “exceedingly high”
