2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Sounds like the Conley price was crazy. It also never seemed like Memphis was really going to move him. Note that Marc Gasol had stopped traveling with the team, cleared out his locker, etc., while Conley had continued playing games.

Hard to be disappointed because I'm not sure what other deal would have been made. We also traded for Korver a quarter through the season, so not as if we've sat pat.

Ricky has limits as a player and I hate him on the court sometimes, but there's no denying he's super wholesome and a happy guy to have around. I hope that we upgrade in the off-season and the separation is more amicable than a trade would have been now.
Comley was playing because he has incentive based contract based on games played.

"Our major acquisition is getting a healthy Dante back. That's like a free-agent signing in itself"
The Alec Burks tale all over again...
I hope DL get serious and just say "ok guys, we lose on everything we try, it seems we overvalued our assets and got confused by our own sacred flexibility/units/no-skipping-steps team policy".

Disappointing but hardly panic time. Jazz have made a lot of moves the last couple years.

Just want to see them swing big for once.

If I had any confidence at all in us making a huge free agent signing I wouldn't be disappointed that we didn't make a move, but I don't. We just had so many expiring contracts this year that it feels like a real wasted opportunity not to make a trade.

This season is not very fun as a Jazz fan. It is literally the same team as last year, which we know is not good enough. I was hopeful at the deadline we would do something, anything, to shake it up and make it interesting... but it didn't happen.

Good luck to the team this year, but I am out, I am going to find a better way to spend my time & money. See ya in playoffs or draft... whichever one the Jazz are involved with next.

Wait, who the Hell are you again?

Maybe we should pick up Kanter
Burks and hood were both available to pick up as well. Plus I'm think the Celtics would be willing to part with Hayward.
We could bring back all those guys that our amazing developmental coaches made intuition studs! Add in Exum and it's easy to see why we have the reputation of being great at player development.

Due to the confidence that the Jazz have in Dante i think that when he is healthy they should put Dante as a starter and play 30-35 min. It´s clear you don´t want to be a mediocre team 5-8 R.S and first round or second as a miracle, and with Ricky that is the furthest goal ( as you always say). So if you want to develope Dante , i think that´s the next step

Core four reuniting? Where the hell is Trey Burke? We need him BADLY

Sincere question: what does Rubio bring to this team that is irreplaceable? His 33% from the three? His three free throw attempts? 6 assist? 12 points? His 2-1 assist to turnovers ratio?

I mean the guys is a class act and as far as character is everything you want in a guy. But as far as being a basketball player I don't see anything that leads me to believe he's anything but average and a weak link.

I think Memphis can move from sixth worst to 9/10 worst in the league and they would love to send that pick to Boston this year. If they hit big and won the lotto... then great, but that pick factored into their thinking imo.

Big loser today... Charlotte... didn't add the help they needed... didn't get off any future money. If Kemba leaves they suck and have some opportunity costs they lost by trading him... if he stays they sell off picks to move money around or are in tax hell (MJ ain't paying no tax).

Another loser... Boston... all the teams around them improved... they did not.

Thought the Clips did well today... still gonna be in the hunt for the playoffs if Gallo gets back and healthy.
