No problem if you do not wish to discuss conservative politics. Why did you guys feel the need to even comment if you do not wish to participate?

Stoked, I am not looking for an "echo chamber". Just looking for a place that is conducive to conservative opinions instead of the liberal stuff that is in every other political thread on the site. It is not fun defending against 7 people at one time so I thought I would create a thread where opposing points of view can be shared.

I fully realize that very few conservatives will show up here because being a conservative seems to be squashed on this site but what the hell.

Drawing your allegiances as a party line is dumb as hell. If you have opinions that others disagree with or find repulsive they will argue with you, or give you their thoughts on the same topic. you should have a legitimate reason for every single one of your views, right? Otherwise you're just a sheep. The party lines shouldn't make that decision. What are the chances that someone who happens to disagree with every single liberal viewpoint and agrees with every single conservative viewpoint actually did their own thinking on the subject?

This will be my only response directly to you guys:

I love how you guys like to preach about being "open-minded". If anyone brings up an opposing point of view, the VAST majority of you mock them, call them names, tell them they're an idiot, quote your stupid talking-points, etc. I get that you guys don't want to be here in this thread so move on. It will be okay in your liberal threads. Other people can have ideas and thoughts that are different than yours. It is okay.

Bawse Gawg, I said CONSERVATIVE points of view not republican. Please re-read the post and see that this is not about republican vs. democrat. It is conservative vs. liberal.

You haven't shared anything yet, you've just played the victim card. Which is hilarious considering what you are representing here.

What viewpoints are you trying to share? Let's hear some.
 
I like the idea of the thread (and don't understand the ridicule of 'safe-spaces' at all), and don't believe it was presented in a particularly off-putting way either.

Unfortunately I don't have anything to really contribute in terms of conservative thought as I'm as far left as they come on most issues.
