Who do you think will be a bust among the top 10 rookies this year?

I think both derrick williams and jan vesely

Also i dont see a potential very good player between 5-14 except knight and valanciunas. Eventually our burks may end up being a much better player than some of those lottery picks above him.

i voted for 5 players actually because im not really high on walker freddette and biyombo

I think if The Wolves move Beasley than Williams will be fine. If he finds himself having to compete for minutes on a bottom feeding team it may hurt his game a bit. Same could be said with Irving and Baron Davis.

Thompson will put up OK numbers but his high pick status may give him the appearance of a bust.

Fredette, Walker and Vesely will be high energy guys loved by their fans - none of them will light up the league though.

Biyombo will totally flop - just another athletic freak who will never learn how to play the game. The fact that Jordan loves him solidified my opinion about him.

Easy, Biyombo. All those who positively drooled over this guy are going to feel mighty sheepish in due time.

As the other poster noted, that fact that Jordan took him, solidifies my view. (Jordan may be the greatest player of all time but he's also one of the worst front office guys of all time, along with Isaiah Thomas.)

D-will had Min picked Kanter and the Jazz picked Williams jazzfanz would've witnessed an epic meltdown by yours truly.

Min is so stupid.

I'm still nervous about Kanter. Right after we drafted Kanter, ESPN showed a list of all the foreign players drafted in the top 5 over the years. Only Yao and Gasol ever made an impact in this league, the other 6-7 name were complete garbage (Milicic, Bargnani, Tskitvili (sp?). etc.)
I certainly hope I'm proven wrong.

Actually i heard that the biggest reason Milicic was drafted ahead Carmelo was that, he had a great workout on the last day before draft with whoever he is picked by. He rained 3s and he impressed that team really much.
And Bargnani wouldnt be picked first by anyone else but Toronto. Even euroleague teams have less euro players.
I m pretty sure Kanter will be better than those. But i dont know if he can turn into a franchise player or not. We will see. (Bargnani is a franchise player too but only in Toronto, only Deron-level guys can be franchise player in Utah)

Had Bargnani been picked anywhere else besides #1, people would not call him a bust. And had Milicic been drafted say #6 in that draft and been placed in a better situation I bet the same could be said for him. So much depends on where someone ends up.

Bargnani is only 25, the jury is still out. He plays for an atrocious team, kind of unfair to call him a bust for that.

I have a funny feeling about Knight. Some of those scattered reports about his bad attitude have me thinking he'll just cause problems in Detroit, and wherever else he winds up after they get sick of him.

Irving will be the bust. What exactly has he done to show that he is top-pick value? Even the highlight reels I could find were very meh. I think he is severely over-rated and will not pan out to be what everyone thinks he will. Frankly, that is what makes this draft crappy, is the number of votes on that poll for EVERY PLAYER. When every one of them could be seen legitimately as the next bust, that is a pretty crappy draft.

Biyombo and Kemba for me.
Bismack will be such a liability on offense that he'll eventually need to be put on the bench. Kemba has never really impressed me. Vesely would be next on my list. Great dunks but what else?
DWill might be caught between two postions. His game is more developed than Marvin Williams' was coming in, but that's been the problem with Marvin. He's a good complementary player, but will never be a star. Not a bust, but not what you want from a #2 pick.

Exactly, thats what's weird about the 2011 draft. Every guy has concerns or some of them multiple. Their could be a good # of these guys that turn out to be busts. I wouldn't be surprised if only 2-5 guys become starters down the road

As long as those two starters are Kanter and Burks, I'll be happy!
