Jazz intentionally foul another Suns player to prevent Devin Booker from scoring 60 points - CBSSpor

People were having fun with it. It was good natured, almost sarcastic, ribbing and encouragement. We were up 30 flipping points.
This. After the first miss and turnover, it was a meme at that point. Everyone around me was yelling sarcastically to give the ball to Jimmer, and lost their **** when he had the ball. It was the most entertaining 30 point blow out I've ever seen live or on TV by a huge margin. The players can be bothered by it and would be justified. However, I'd say to them that we dont mean anything by it and it was more of a joke than anything. It kinda comes with the territory. Ultimately, we cheered the loudest for Chick-fil-A. This game was crazy. A ****-show worth every cent.

Be our emissary to the players.

As an outsider, this outlandish love relationship with a fringe NBA player seems odd and kind of cringey. I get that the guy is a hometown hero of sorts but that was years ago and doesn't merit the kind of hysteria we saw last night. Not even Stockton, Malone or Coach Sloan elicit that kind of reaction. And it's not the case that this is the first time he was in the building, he was cheered before, but not at this level. As many others have said, it was weird, but in a cringey and WTF way.

The game scenario played a part. If it wasn't a blowout then it would have been more like other times jimmer had played in Utah...... I think.

This isn't the first time, though. I remember another time Jimmer played here with the Kings where the same **** happened, but in the middle of the game, not after a blowout.

I'm done.

Exactly. The first half he got his ovation and it was pretty standard. The 4th quarter when most fans would leave, up by 30, is when people started playing into it. As I've said it was all in good fun nothing more.

I was obviously pissy about it at first but whatever I'm over it. I'm going the snowflakes be snowflakes

I remember that. Wasn't like last night.

Strange that Jazz are up 30 with 18 seconds remaining, Rudy is sitting on the bench with ice on his knees when Quin decides to light him up in a ferocious manner.

Didn't see that, but did see Quin pulling Donavan aside to give him a piece of his mind on a forced shot taken by Donovan!

The cheering for Jimmer was sad, pathetic, and embarrassing. This fan base needs to grow the **** up.

I feel bad for the Jazz and their players. Fans are really blowing it this year.

Why? I don't give two ***** about him and it didn't bother me. I'm with Jazzy Fresh. Everyone needs to relax and get over themselves. That's what is pathetic.

Why? Honest question. What is wrong with cheering for a player you like? Especially a player some really look up to?

I'm a 49ers fan and a huge Alex Smith fan. When he was with the chiefs I still rooted for the guy even when he played against the 49ers. I find this as nothing but straight insecurity. At the end of the day we are all still Jazz fans and will be there when these spoiled babies need us. It was one night, with one player, that yeah, maybe the LDS community loves. Boo hoo.

These players get into a bubble where everything is about them and people sucking their dicks. It's truly pathetic this upset them. Context of when people and how people cheered matters. This was silly fun. Get the **** over it.

This is at least the third time this year that this fanbase has **** the bed to an extent that it became an issue for our players. Maybe it’s not the ****ing players we should be blaming for that.

As if the fans haven't been blamed lol.
And the westbrook thing no one blamed the jazz players.
What was the 3rd thing?

1. Our own fans booing our own team (Magic home game)
2. Westbrook (doesn’t need explanation)
3. People being pretty quiet all night until a scrub on the other team came on the court.

Whatever they think about those three things, those are issues created by our fanbase (including the first one) that they have to deal with.

(And let’s please skip the “If all I had to do was play a game and deal with problems like that, sign me up!”)

Wait, but you're the one taking a break from the team in protest. So how does the snowflake term apply here? Who is taking it more personally?
