You have proof of this lol? If the cheering is the same as you say, are you telling me if one of them was black they wouldnt do the same?

Ok , but are you saying it's because they are white? It's because he was a national sensation who was Mormon and played at BYU. They cheered for other BYU Mormon players too (but I'm sure not the same). So what? Is it really that big of a deal if a group of people cheer for someone they feel they have a connection too? Did Asian people suddenly show up in droves to games they otherwise wouldn't have gone to, to cheer on Jeremy Lin? Yes. You have a problem with that? They're cheering him on. It's not hurting anyone, and if it is, that is what is sad. This is all so stupid.
 
The game was over, suns suck, no big deal cheering on Jimmer to see him score. Hell, he was the entertainment once we got up by 50 pts in the first quarter. He’s a local product who’s freaking trying to make it in the league. I could easily see the same thing happening if Kuzma was trying to make the league.
 
I’m not sure why people are bent out of shape about this. The game was horrid. The Washington generals give the globetrotters a better game. Is Rudy’s dunk record really supposed to illicit an earth shattering cheer?

The loudest cheer for this meaningless game for chick fil e. So no one should take it personally.

The crowd will bring it for Rudy and Mitchell when we play against a relevant opponent. Honestly, the jazz should pay us to watch teams like Phoenix and New York. They’ve been so unwatchable for what feels like an eternity.
 
The Suns didn't play Jimmer last night. Not a good sign for his future.
 
Pretty sure Danny Ainge used to get a lot of love in Utah when he returned as a player for the Celtics. So did Vranes if we want to talk about ex-Utes, too.

Jimmer and Danny weren't 1-and-done. They brought national attention to BYU and produced a lot of wins.

But the cheers at the end were derisive in nature. It's a collective, "finally, he scores" gesture. I guarantee you the 3/4ths of the cheers wouldnt have been there had Jimmer scored a few buckets before then.

Were there Jimmer homers? Sure. We've seen those for Lebron, Kobe, etc. Jazz players need to realize most of the crowd was mocking his futility.

Watching the Jazz play is always entertaining to me even when they play the scrub teams! They pass the ball around, end up with 30 plus assists and pad there league leading dunk totals by a factor of 10!
