Trade idea with the Hornets

Jazz give up Millsap and who ever No. wants between Bell and Cj

Hornets give up Ariza and Belinelli

Why the Jazz do it... Gives us an athletic sf who plays defense which we need more then anything else, and sf is are biggest need, and we lose one of are biggest liabilities on this team in Cj and Bell. We also pick up a three point threat in Belinelli.

Hornets do this because they will lose there best offensive player in West.

Would the Hornets do this or not? I think Ariza would look great in a Jazz uniform.

So the Hornets are going to give us Ariza and Bellinelli for Bell or Miles....what on earth makes you think this could work? You think the Hornets will do this because they get to keep West?! Or they could just not do the trade and keep all of them...there's an interesting thought.

I'm struggling to find the logic with this entire trade idea, but especially the bolded part.

Millsap is similar to West. West is expected to opt out of his contract this week. Sf is are biggest need. I'm just trying to take advantage of the Hornets and free up minutes for Favors. What don't you understand?

Ok I fixed my post I accidentally left Millsap out. I still need to poop.

most people have to poop when they wake up. Good morning.

I'm one of them.

Serious question, why is everyone so eager to get rid of Millsap? He's got an awesome contract and he's arguably our best and most consistent player. If Kanter and Favors turn out to be amazing, why get rid of the league's best 6th man? If they don't turn out all that great, then we at least have a solid 15-10, 20-9 guy that can start.

Jeez. It's like... Having a good deep roster is a bad thing for some of you right now. Keep Millsap.

Agree Thriller. Only way I trade Millsap is if we get a STEAL of a trade that we simply would be stupid for turning down. I'd rather trade Al, but same goes for him as well. I don't feel like we need to be in any big hurryto trade our better players.

I think the only way I'd trade Sap to NO would be for CP (how weird would that be?). They're leaking money. Who knows if Sap and Memo next year's two picks wouldn't open that discussion. I doubt it, but thought I'd throw in with all the post-draft/pre-lockout pie-in-the-sky-hypotheticals...

Why would David West opt out?

A PF recovering from one nasty torn ACL isn't going to be the hottest commodity on the market.

With so much uncertainty, lets wait.

Kanter could easily suck after not playing Basketball for so long.

Lets wait and see what happens with the new CBA, our own roster, and maybe Millsap ends up being a killer SF too. Who knows?

Lets wait and see before we trade.

I agree with this. The tricky part is, everyday that Kanter and Favors get better, Millsap's trade value is going down. The Jazz need to closely monitor Favors and/or Kanter's progression and the second they are ready to take over a starting role, move Millsap or Jefferson.

When that day comes, you move him because have four power forwards and no small forwards is not as good as having three power forwards and one small forwards.

I agree with this to an extent, however, if Kanter and Favors do pan out, then the other 29 teams will know that we want to move Millsap and his stock will dimish. I say if you can get dollar for dollar for Millsap, right now you do it, but if not, wait.

Don't think NO would think about biting, but I'd love a Harris, Millsap, and next years GS pick for Chris Paul. As long as Chris Paul would agree to an extension. But, looking at what we got for Deron this wouldn't be enough. The only hope would be Chris Paul gets tired of losing in NO and likes the Jazz future and thinks he can win here. Works in the Trade Machine thingy.

I'm sure they would want Kanter or Favors.

I agree, but it's because people want an entire roster composed of 1st and 2nd-year players who play 40 minutes a night. Actually, once the mythical Danny Granger trade goes down, Granger could provide the veteran presence, but everyone else in their 1st or 2nd year.
