I'm just not that scared of Houston. The Jazz would have a fair chance against them. Would much rather play Portland. But since we'll end up in 4/5, it's a second round exit either way.

Jazz need to hit the 2nd round. But the WCFs would be magnificent for this team.

I may be wrong but right now I see no chance of getting the 3rd seed. We are almost guaranteed to finish 4th or 5th vs Portland or 5th vs Denver.
Barring a huge surprise, in order to get home-court advantage we need to win our 4 games and Denver to beat Portland twice. Keep reading to see the reasons why:

Possible outcomes
They split both games: 99% chance we finish 5th vs Portland.
Portland wins both: 99% chance we finish 5th. Good chance it would be vs the Nuggets.
Denver wins both: our chance at home-court advantage. We need to win all 4 and since we hold the tiebreaker over the Blazers, we would get 4th.
