What a wet fart of a Game 1

The Jazz had no life, Ingles was non-existent, and they looked like a JV team out there versus the Rockets. I'm 2 hours ahead of most of you and it was against my better judgment to stay up to watch what I knew would be more of the same after the first quarter was over.

We had no answer for Harden and couldn't hit from 3, but kept jacking them up anyway, like the collective incarnation of CJ Miles. Let's have a little life in Game 2, gents, or this series will be over before it started. That was abysmal.

I'm not sure what DL and co. expected to happen. We'll win one or two but this team has nobody outside of DM who can create. Rubio should not be our 2nd leading shot taker. That's just flat out stupid.

Well, DL and CO tried to address it by bringing Conley but you need two to tango. It's pretty clear to everyone we need more firepower

Turned it off in the 3rd when they drove the ball from the corner for the jam, with Rudy waiting for him. Didn't even attempt a block.

Weird, stoked said that the Rockets were overrated

I also laughed at you and you cried through two different threads. Also if you’re gonna try to call me out don’t be a ***** and @ me ya douche

Here’s it’s simple. @Kyoto

See. I called your hyper sensitive *** out. Sup

What happened to our defense? Complete and total breakdown defensively from top to bottom! From the get go our defensive strategy was flawed and non-existent! We can begin with leaving all those 3 point shooters wide-open to can whatever shot they desired to take! No need to leave your man to help out on Haden while your man takes dead aim from beyond the arc! Favors and Rudy were clueless out there when it came to covering their man. I don't think either one of them picked up a foul trying to defend anyone. That has to change next game. Offensively, we didn't play all that bad. It was just a complete and total breakdown on defense from what we were playing, how we executed our defense, and what are game plan was suppose to be. Had we played a smitgen of defense our offensive would have produced by a factor of 10. We will do better next game and certainly when we get back home.

Silly me. I thought Dennis Do Little addressed Utah's talent deficit by bringing in Gorgeous Georges for the Swedish Swish and replacing Lil' Stock with The Dukie. Dat chemistry...always trumps talent.

The rockets defense was a big difference maker. We had almost nothing going for us offensively.

When Harden got his 4th foul we should have isolated him 5 of the next 5 plays. We did once of the next 10.

Look, the rockets arent an amazing defensive team but they sure looked like it tonight.

The good thing... the jazz took away Harden and the 3 point shot. The bad? They took away everything we had and they countered by winning the paint at a clip of 60 points, the mid range, and the 3 point shot. So... we stopped harden and gave up everything else.

Favors only guy with a plus by his name. Point guards were awful.

Rudy was a-23. It seems like every time we play the Rockets he has by far the worst plus/minus on our team and I can't figure out why.

The problem was we didn't play our game. We tried a defensive scheme that we were not prepared to play and it failed miserably. We need to play our defense, our motion offense. Sure maybe try to push harden right more, but not to the point where we give him all the open Lanes. We need to just throw the gimmicky ******** out the window and play our game.

Another example of how Jazz desperately need another reliable scorer. Once we lose this series (and we will), while Houston exposes our weaknesses (so far, yes), we damned well better not have yet another off-season of "continuity" or "internal growth" or "gee, by golly, we have chemistry."

Getting Houston in Round 1 was just dumb bad luck. For all of you people out there who wanted Houston (such as one guy on twitter) because (paraphrased) "growth doesn't come by taking the easy route," I hope you're happy.

For the record, I'm just as happy winning via an easier matchup than winning by overcoming a harder matchup.
