If a Lockout Occurs, does that mean there is no NBA 2K12?

I doubt a lockout would prevent video game companies from still producing their products.

The NFL situation is very different from the NBA situation. There will be 2k12 and there will be real players. As for rosters, obviously there's going to be some pretty decent free agents ala JR Smith, Kenyon Martin, Jamal Crawford, Tyson Chandler, Caron Butler, Marc Gasol......Brian Scalabrine. Obviously that is provided they don't resign in the next 48 hours.

But even despite the NFLPA being decertified its agreement with EA Sports still provides for the use of the group license that allows the developer to use real players on the teams. Team and league symbols are licensed separately and therefore exempt from the current labor dispute. The 2011 NFL Draft will proceed as planned at Radio City Music Hall in New York from April 28-30, the result of a provision in the current CBA. All players selected in this year’s draft will be included in their new team uniforms for the new Madden game.

If it does go ahead I wonder what's going to happen to the Association Mode though..

I'd be happy to at least be able to play it even though the actual games aren't going on.. LOL

The 1st part of the Association mode you will assume the role of a lawyer. Gameplay will be sorting through legal documents and dealing with spoiled rich people.
 
I might have to buy a basketball game this year and watch the computer play itself. ha ha. Which brand does the better game, or what are the pros and cons of each?
