Can’t we walk and chew gum at the same time? We can hold trump accountable and still make propositions that will get little media coverage and will quickly die in the senate before they even come out of Committee.

I’m struggling to understand why Dems think that dragging Trump’s name through the mud for another year to 18 months through impeachment hearings would be bad for them. Especially when they were so recent victims of the trumped up smear campaign against Hillary Clinton.

Why not make a show of Trump and his criminal dealings? Why not impeach him in the house? Why not set up senate republicans into deciding whether to side with their party or side with the law? It would be brilliant politics to smear republicans with this. Mueller gave us the blueprint, why don’t we follow it?

And let me be clear, I believe trump is a malignant tumor that should’ve been cut off a long time ago. His conspiracy and then obstruction not to mention all of his other political failings demonstrate clearly that he’s not fit for president.

But I feel like if we can’t get rid of him now, then let’s pummel him so hard over the next 18 months that he’ll be hemorrhaging too much to win in 2020.

If trump isn’t worthy of impeachment, who the hell is?

Clinton, who lied about receiving a BJ? Nixon? Who tried to cover up a burglary? Andrew Johnson???

if Dems don’t make the next 18 months about Trump, what will they be about? Certainly none of their ideas. It’ll be the media finding juicy trash tabloid information that’ll only serve to make their candidates less attractive. You’re already seeing that. Just look at how much more attention Buttigeg’s gay feud with Pence and Biden’s kissing and Kamala’s interracial marriage have received far more attention than the weekly plans Warren is cranking out.
Yeah no, I completely agree with you here. From what I've seen in the last hour or so it sounds like Steny Hoyer's remark about impeachment wasn't a good example of where house democrats are right now, and it better ****ing not be.

Mueller all but made a formal referral for impeachment in his report over obstruction of justice, it would be both foolish and irresponsible for them not to have hearings imo.

Lmao.
So desperate.

Not trying to be negative about you @LogGrad98, but firegirl, he hates things that are generally well regarded. Said Takashi wasn't very good and recommended another sushi place, when I tried to go there it had gone out of business. Takashi has a line out the door every day. Says Red Iguana isn't very good, again, a place that has a wait all day every day.

If a lot of people like it, LogGrad don't.

So he's more of a Zune guy than an iPod guy. Got it.

I just don't let the lemmings tell me what to like.

Truer words have never been spoken.

One of the main reasons why we’re seeing democratic backsliding in our country is that a certain percentage of our populace is too intellectually lazy. They’d rather make quick nonsensical zingers to #ownthelibs than actually learn about the history of our country and understand how democracy works.

I for one am disappointed in the intellectual laziness of so many in our country. Nor do I celebrate a media that values clicks over facts.

Look at this wannabe intellectual libtard calling people lazy. Oh the irony..

Look at the gaslighting fool that doesn't believe half the **** he spews

Thriller's out there, but at least he's not a ****.

I’m out there? What have I stated that’s factually incorrect about this topic?

Trump encouraged Russia to help him. Got the help. When investigated, tried to kill the investigation, has been my claims all along. Interestingly enough, that’s what Mueller found as well.

We need to stop labeling people who we don’t agree with 100 percent politically but who follow facts as “out there” as if their credibility is lacking. We shouldn’t only listen to those who we agree with politically. Evidence and facts should be directing this discussion.

I know for a fact I'm not the first person to view you as a conspiracy theorist. "Out there" doesn't exclusively mean "off the cliff".

Newton, Plato, Socrates... all "out there" for their time.

Really? Could you point out the posts where someone on here has called me a conspiracy theorist? I suspect maybe babe or gas have. I’ve never seen it. But I wouldn’t know since they’ve been blocked for a few months. Are we basing our opinions on what they say?

Thanks I think for the Plato/Socrates compliment... I think.

But this isn’t really that hard. Just read the Mueller report if you have t been following the mainstream media over the past 2 years (which has been remarkably accurate). I mean, seriously, from the Post and Times to David Corn and Bob Woodward. They’ve been proven accurate and their reporting is mostly in line with what Mueller’s team found. Anyone loosely following the Trump/Russia thing should know:

1. Russia wanted to help trump win. Both because it would disrupt our internal politics and help them receive eased sanctions. Which is exactly what’s happened...
2. Trump wanted to do business in Russia for decades. During the campaign he actively sought out a Trump Tower in Russia. And lied about it repeatedly.
3. He loosely worked with Russia and Wikileaks. It worked as their coordinated efforts led to his victory.
4. Ever since the investigation began, he’s tried to kill it. First by firing Comey. Then by attacking it nonstop. Finally, by replacing Sessions with Barr to act as his own personal shield.
5. Presidents have been impeached for far less.

This doesn’t seem to be “out there.” You don’t need a tin foil hat to believe or know these things. By now, it’s common knowledge that this is what happened with the trump Russia stuff.
