What's new

Mitchell

He is a Robin, not a batman. Sorry but 9 of 27 is 33 percent shooting. Batmans have higher shooting percentage. Jazz need to trade up in draft and get a 2nd star. Mitchell playing with an elite PG would do wonders for his career. He is not a pg.

Donovan is the Batman on this team. He just doesn't have a Robin on offense to complement him. It wouldn't be so terrible for when he has off nights (like every player does from time to time) if there was literally anyone else on the team that could create their own shot. On top of that he is only 22. And is already the alpha scorer on a playoff team. Put the right pieces around him and his efficiency numbers go up (along with assists).

I had this same thought. Harden was 3-22? That’s not even a Robin.
Harden’s bad games don’t count because he’s a superstar. Donovan’s good games likewise don’t count because he’s not a superstar.

Go find a better player his age in the league and get back to me. I'll be in the bat cave with Alfred and some hookers.

Jazz centers were scoring a super high % when they got the ball at the rim. Jazz should have gone to this twice as often.

What we need is some consistency at the 1-3 position especially.

Everyone is talking about signing stars but heck, if we had a Joe Dumars type guy on our team it'd be a dream. Not touted a superstar but super-efficient, great defender and ultra-consistent.

I feel like there's too much pressure on Mitchell: from himself, from management, his teammates as well as opposing defenses. If we had guys who could shoot the damn ball and spread the floor I guarantee Mitchell would play better (it's common sense).

Malcom Brogdon

I feel like Brogdon has underachieved as a defender in the NBA. He showed he could play defense in college. Offensively he does have some Dumars attributes.

Wondering what we can sign Brogdon for where the Bucks won't likely match.
Ya, good post. Probably won't get him but they did just re-sign bledsoe and they need to re-sign Middleton, and Lopez and somebody else (can't remember who, mirotic?).
I think he would look great on the jazz and would immediately help everyone else look better simply with his elite shooting. He would instantly be the best shooter on the team.

I love Mitchell ever since the first time I saw him play. But, seriously, he does need to work on his shot. He has great form but he needs to refine something, not sure what. Practice makes perfect though, and I'm confident he will work to improve it.

You do realize that Robin is pretty much a remorseless killer that Batman is constantly having to reign in so he’s not leaving dead people and destruction every where right?

Having a robin on the court sounds pretty bad ***

It sucks we had to face the best player ever in the late-90s. Stockton and Hornacek were so good and consistent. What a backcourt! And Eisley and Anderson were good backups. Eisley is so overlooked and forgotten about. He was legit and helped spread the floor because he could hit shots.
