What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

I don’t want Conley. Although he would help I fear he would be George Hill 2.0. Hurt more than he plays

I'm really interested to see what this means for Kyle Kuzma and Julius Randle.

All depends on AD right? I just read a report that AD still wants out. If I had to guess, NOLA trades AD to NY for #3, NY 2021, and something else.

Jrue, Barrett (#3), Zion, Randle and somebody like JJ Redick.

I don’t trade Conley yet if I’m the Grizz. Wait for a better offer. If the Hornets lose Kemba, maybe they trade for him.
I agree. If I was Phoenix, I would be pissed. Going from 2nd to 6th has to be the harshest lottery results ever right?

The Bulls too. People who get pissed at tanking are dumb. The worst team has almost never won the 1st pick anyway. And there are times when there are legit really bad teams who deserve a top 1 or 2 pick.

Uh they’ve had plenty of top 5 picks. And blown just about all of them. It was supposed to discourage tanking, it’s a great result if that’s what you want.

Memphis is going to keep Conley. I think their luck in the lottery makes it more likely they keep him. Sure, Morant is a PG, but he's a rookie. And JJJr is still young and raw. There is no reason to trade the team's only quality leader in order to get a late first round pick. The Griz cap situation is screwed anyway due to Parsons. They should groom Morant, win some games, and then just ride out Conley's deal. #23 and expirings isn't worth trading his experience and leadership.

I said a 2020 pick... plus they could route Crowder somewhere for assets... they can also save real money by operating at or near the floor... nevermind the cap implications.

When you are rebuilding you grab every asset you can... one pick this year then taking a bad contract with that 30M the following year gets you another pick... they can sign a guy like Vince Carter to be a leader.

Also Conley is pissed they did Bickerstaff dirty... so keep a somewhat disgruntled vet... I’m sure he’d be really pleased to waste what is left of his prime grooming his replacement.

Every asset counts... they need to do the best they can.

I feel zero sympathy for them... they had a chance to get a transcendent talent at a position of need and went for the local kid. They dumb AF and don’t deserve to win again.

The Lakers are so damn lucky... every year those assholes avoid giving a pick or move up.

Atlanta got the shaft... played it the right way... didn’t tank... both picks moved back... sucks.

Yeah, would hate to forgo a 0 to 5 percent chance of signing Tobias or Kemba to trade for someone who makes us instantly better and allows us to operate over the cap in FA.

If Memphis will do a deal, you do the goddamn deal.

But he’s not in his 20s so he can’t possibly be good at basketball

Conley doesn't make us a contender. Haven't you learned that it's not worth it to trade a 1st round pick or two for a PG? Hill, now Rubio, and now Conley? All three injury prone. The only good thing about Hill and Rubio is that they made $15 or less. Imagine the outrage when we're out in the 1st or 2nd round again but we're paying Conley $36 million in 2020-21.

Pass on Conley.

Bruh if he gets hurt they won’t be able to move the contract... if he plays well he can opt out and leave them for nothing... next year lots of teams have space and there aren’t many free agents. So a guy like Conley could get less per year but more years and choose their destination.

So they can move him now or get nothing or pay an injured guy a bunch of money... keeping him would be dumb AF but I wouldn’t put it past them.

I'd bet the Jazz don't pull the trigger unless it's overwhelmingly in their favor OR Kemba and others have informed the Jazz they won't sign with them. Might be more of a last chance option. A playmaking guard >>>>> some stretch 4.

Tony Jones says Jazz can’t get Harris and Conley... if not. Damnit

He doesn’t know bruh... you think he has a ****ing Jazz salary spreadsheet like me... he doesn’t. I do. We’d have to cobble together a bunch of salary after signing Tobias but we have enough... it’s also close enough that we could involve an additional team to help make ends meet.

You have to sign Harris then trade for Conley... can’t do it the other way around.
