The Anti Tankers are to blame

The Jazz have painted themselves into a corner. We are stuck and cant really improve without a lot of luck or internal growth.

For years Ive been on board with tanking and trading pieces that dont fit the timeline and that weren't going to win a championship.

The whole reason why I even signed up for Jazzfanz was to make a point about trading Al Jefferson and Millsap for some assets and then tank in order to set us up for the future. There was a ton push back like always. And now there is light. The future has come to pass and now we see why we should have done it. Now we see why it was worthless chasing a first round knock out with mediocre talent, and half assing the one time we sorta tried, and ended up with ded Exum.

Every year from the time we traded Deron to the day we drafted Gobert was completely mismanaged. Even the year we drafted Gobert was mismanaged.

Even attempting to build a winner surrounding Gordon Hayward. What a joke that was. Did anyo3in their right mind actually think he would lead us to a championship?

Now here we are. SMH

Our choices or options at this point are pretty stupid to be honest. Add Conley and drop Favors? Really? Thats going to put us over the top? Its delusional dreaming.

Coulda shoulda done better.
Lol. You’re actually nuttier than I am.

Hey, that’s been the problem all this time, it’s us the fans, we’ve stood in the way all there’s years. It started the year we made the jazz sell the #1 pick that would’ve been magic. Shame on us.

The odds of ever winning a championship are about the same as me scoring with J-Lo.

Every clown who thinks they know what move could or couldn’t have been made to get there are full of piss and wind. It’s just pot luck that you’re in the right place at the right time to draft those couple of freak individuals who turn out to be capable of such feats.

Just enjoy following the ups and downs of a well run and competitive team.

Well said. In the last 20 years the majority of the championships have been won by 5 teams who had the right combination to put with LeBron, Kobe, Duncan, and Curry. Breaking through in the NBA is a tall order but also one I still have hope for.

I have never supported tanking but I have always gotten pissed when we don't maximize trade value or let guys go for nothing.

AK
Matthews
Jefferson
Kanter
Millsap
Hayward

The only guy we handled the right way was Deron. That wasn't a tank move. It was a get something for a disgruntled player instead of losing him for nothing move.

-Should’ve never taken on Al Jefferson
-Should’ve traded him at the 2011 trade deadline
-Should’ve traded him during the 2011 offseason (this is when Kanter was drafted, this is significant)
-Should’ve traded him during the 2012 offseason (this is when his value would’ve been highest, and also after he made really pathetic comments about the series against the Spurs)
-Should’ve traded him at the 2013 trade deadline

-Should never have let Millsap walk

That’s how it should’ve happened.
