Williams get new agent, has made no firm promises about staying in New Jersey

I'll say it again: Even if Deron was willing to listen to an off from Utah, I'm pretty sure Jazz Brass want nothing to do with him.
It was a marrige that didn't work the first time and I don't see a 2nd time ever happening.

Make no mistake about it, KOC and Miller would jump out of their heart patterned boxers at the chance to get Deron back. They did what they had to in order to avoid losing him for a hill of beans, but Deron would never have been traded if they thought they had a good chance of re-signing him. Regardless of how most of us feel about him as a person, players like Deron just don't come around too often.

Having said that, there are far too many other sides where the grass appears to be much greener. Deron will have numerous options to chose from, and I'd imagine Utah is at the bottom of the list, right after playing backup PG for the Narleans Hornets.

If New Jersey can sign Dwight Howard once he becomes a free agent they will compete with Miami and Chicago for eastern conference champions for the next 10 years. D-Will, Howard and Lopez will be max players just as good, if not better than Miami's big three. You'd have to get rid of every other contract, which is no big deal because just like Miami, players would line up to take the minimum just to have a shot at an NBA championship. The Jazz had better hope that New Jersey doesn't pick up Howard.

Im happy that at least we proved to the world that no player is indispensable. I was shocked when Deron was traded but it was the best move that KOC did in the recent years. He chose to make a new beginning instead of getting stuck to Deron's Will for the upcoming years. And now with the help basketball Gods we have 2 3rd picks and 2 lottery picks from last 2 yrs. Thats a pretty good core. There is no need to look back and talk about Deron, he is gone and never will be back. And right now we dont need Deron, we need some complementary pieces especially for 1 and 3. Our new leader seems to be Hayward and lets just hope he will not disappoint the franchise and lead the team with a strong character not frustration.

Why? Because if it's not New Jersey luring Howard to greener pastures, it's probably the Lakers and D-Will will be right behind him.

I'm actually hoping Jersey/Brooklyn locks up D-Will long term. It keeps him out of the West where he could land in L.A. or Dallas and most likely lure a few guys with him in an attempt to make the next "Super" team.

I think any scenario that keeps D-Will in Jersey is a win for Utah. However, I think he's destined to sign with Dallas- just too many pieces fall into place IMO. Fast forward 3 or 4 years from now: D-Will is a Maverick and the Jazz have repositioned themselves as a top team in the West. Could you imagine the intensity of a Jazz-Mav's playoff series? Utah fans would be ALL OVER D-Will. It would be ugly.

The Heat are primed for annual trips to the finals as the perennial powers of the west decline. I would love it if the Nets could challenge them. I'd probably root for Deron/Lopez/Howard even if not against the Heat.

10 years is a bit of an exageration. Dwill and dwight are no better than Dwill, boozer, memo. Under the new CBA teams more than likely will be limited on how much they can stack. Dwight and Dwill really is not that impresive to me.
