- #23 this year... whenever the other pick happens, it'll be a late pick.
- Jae was a chucker who was getting worse the habit. Tough guy, yeah, but not good enough.
- That's what risks are all about.
- There is absolutely no good intel that Conley leaves after just one year. Dude wants to win. Unless he gets picked up by a 'better' team than us (Warriors, Lakers, etc), it isn't happening.
 
People are seriously crying about getting a 21.1 PPG - 6.4 APG PG who is a career 38% 3pt shooter.

We gave up Allen, two vets, and two picks in the 20’s.

Not sure what would have been better than this. We kept Favors and Exum too.
 
What do people expect? Those are the assets we have to give up in order for the Grizz to bite. At least one party will be upset about what they gave up .We simply were not in a good position for any trade talks. There is no players in which we can realistically put on a trade table that both we just as jazzfans will be happy to let go, while being good enough to raise other teams interests. So to get Conley, it is inevitable for us to overpay because we can't put together an equal and convincing package in which both parties will be happy with.
 
[edited] crazy...…. Jazz kept Favors and Exum …. and added Conley

Now I can get behind them as a top team in the West.....sick of them getting smoked in the playoffs as an unathletic team .Keeping Exum and adding Conley is a big deal.

Youth, potential, a long term plan.

I have been fine with Conley if the cost was right.

2 1sts - okay. I could live with it
Grayson and #23 - sure, okay
2 1sts and Grayson - eh, not a fan
2 1sts, Grayson and Crowder - dumb. Jae is a big part of our identity. Loves it here. Gives us heart.
 
I’m happy we kept Exum and Favors. Kind of glad we traded Jae. Often thought Crowder played minutes that Favors earned.

Not thrilled about the future draft pick. Feels a little like an overpay. Here’s hoping Conley can stay healthy.
