Conley Officially a Jazzman

By all accounts DL has sworn a blood oath that he will never let Favors go. So many people cool with this. I feel like I’m in an episode of the Twighlight Zone or in some alternate universe with how many people are totally cool with keeping Favors now that we’ve fixed one problem in the starting unit.

Am I ****ing crazy?

I'm 100% with you. Exum/Favors are limited players making too much for us to be contenders.

Yeah, I liked Ricky a ton. He was an upgrade and I thought that his shooting was improving. His first year he shot 35% from 3...if he had been able to keep that up, coulda been a different story.

Conley is on a whole other level in comparison though.
Fair enough and I agree about the massive upgrade

A lot of stretch 4 options out there should we trade Favors.

Marcus Morris, Ariza, Millsap, JaMychael Green, Portis, Mrotic, Randle, Gay, Aminu. Probably forgetting some too.

The problem is Favors is also our backup 5.

I wonder if there’s anyway we can trade Bradley to free up space. Or maybe sign Sef to get over the cap. He can be one stretch 4 option.

Then use a partial MLE on Caruso and a partial on Green.

Is this far-fetched?

Conley-Caruso-Neto
Mitchell-Exum
Ingles-O’Neale
Favors-Green-Sef-Niang
Gobert

We’d have solid depth and still have Favors and Exum as assets.

Yeah, he closed that game because Rudy played like **** and Favs was beasting. That happens 1-2 times a year
Haha I was being a little tongue in cheek there (although who knows, if things break right and we end up in the finals against the Bucks that could be the difference in getting championship or not) , but I think there's the possibility that he will close more with the added spacing Conley brings. A Conley/Favors pick and roll has all the ingredients of being super ****ing nasty.

I don't think Favors is that limited. He's a tremendous defender, on 4's and 5's, he's an elite backup 5 and a good starting 4.

With Rubio, Favors, and Gobert, offense could be difficult. Conley alleviates a lot of that problem. Favors still isn't perfect, but limited? I don't think so.
