Rough first game for the draftees.
Brantley looked good in spots, but man, he is bad at getting to the rim. For someone so athletic and big, I thought he would be able to force his way into good looks at the rim.
Oni is kind of the same thing, just can't get to the rim at all with the ball.
JWF just playing so differently than he's use to that he cant hit shots.

Oni and Wright-Foreman have had some nice defensive moments. Brantley looks like he has some game to build upon. Bradley can rebound and finish at the rim, but he's got very little shooting touch, and very little game outside 8 feet.

The people expecting all three second round picks to make the roster must be disappointed. One MIGHT make the 15 man.
Oni definitely has potential as a defender. Bradley is never going to be a great offensive player but his rebounding and his ability to move his feet has greatly improved. He was sliding over and helping out on defense. JWF is quick and needs to have the game slow down for him. He is also a pest defensively. Brantley hustles and has a nice office game. May struggle guarding at the NBA but has potential. I like the fact he can dribble and create his shot.

JWF couldn't buy a shot, but I think he answered the defensive effort questions tonight. Oni moved the ball alright, but I didn't see a ton from. Brantley probably most promising. Wish we'd tried Lyles with the rookies/Bradley, Cousins just isn't a PG to get others involved.
Oni looked really good on D tho, at least on some plays.
Yeah, the best PG the Jazz have is Lyles, but he cant really do anything other than dribble.

First professional game for these guys, so probably some jitters to deal with. Brantley looked the most promising.
He hit a nice 3 on a play that was waived off due to a moving screen, but he hasn't found his game against NBA defenders.

Time to start calling around for vets. Not going to get NBA help from this squad. Probably need to scout who gets released from other teams too.
Brantley showed some skills, but not impressed AT ALL by JWF or Hermione. Bradley is no big deal. Can pick up a guy like him at the NBA Dollar Store.

One summer league game and people are already wanting to throw away our three draft picks. Somethings never change. It is summer league and the guys have had a week to get ready for their first game. People really need to lower their expectations on the 2nd rounders. These guys are development players. Let them develop.
MVP of the night was a guy named Utah so we automatically get him right?
He had two or three nice drives to the basket. He is quick to the basket.

Brantley showed some stuff. I’ll give Oni and JWF a “first game jitters” pass. Let’s see what they show tomorrow.
Brantley looked good. I liked how he was communicating on the floor. Showed off some of his skill set.
