Summer League Jazz vs. Memphis

Brantley was by far the best of the rookies. I'll wager he makes the team based on our current need for PF position. But you never know who the Jazz might pick up. He reminds me a lot of Millsap when he came up. The best Jazz player on the floor tonight was Naz, but he was playing for the Cavs. He had a nice game and some great assists.

Like I said. . . I think JWF and Oni get two way contracts and a year with the Stars to prove themselves.

Brantley will get a 3 year deal with some guaranteed money and will split his time between the Jazz and the Stars.

Bradley looked a lot better and certainly has some potential. My prediction is that he’ll get traded at some point this season. Personally hoping for an Exum/Bradley trade for a veteran 4. Maybe even before the season starts.

Wait...isn't this the guy we should trade into someone's space...just cuz we could use an extra roster spot?
STOP THE PRESSES!! BRADLEY HAD A GOOD DRIVE IN SUMMER LEAGUE!!! TELL CONLEY HE CAN CRAM IT, WE FOUND THE NEXT KEVIN DURANT MOTHER****ERS!!!

Actually, he went end to end with the ball through traffic and did a Euro step for a nifty lay in. It surprised me and others who were there.

I saw the highlight. Looked cool. No reason to think he's taken 27 steps and is now basketball Jesus.

Willie Reed looked solid.
More athletic than Bradley, and I was talking to some guys who work for the Stars before the game and they said Reed still isn't 100 percent healthy, and also that he is significantly better than Bradley when he is. But Bradley did a good job rebounding and was better than I expected. Still think the Jazz ought to trade him to get some assets.

This is Millsap in the Rocky Mountain Revue before his rookie season. He was really just a rebounder and energy player. It took him a couple years before he gained confidence as a shooter.

Bradleys issue is that he isnt a bruiser or a shooter. I think if you are as vertically limited as Bradley, you have to be one of those things.

Bradley can do 3 things: rebound, hedge on pick-and-roll defense, and catch and finish at the rim. He has a few post moves too, but hardly anyone does that stuff anymore. I don't know if that's enough to catch on. Udoh is at least an elite defender.

I thought Brantley was easily the most impressive looking player for the Jazz.

Tony Bradley looked better than expected, but I’m not sure he’s anything better than a 3rd center unless he figures out how to do at least 1 thing really, really well at the NBA level.
