What's new

We signed Jeff Green

Golden State small forward Andre Iguodala, 33, also seemed concerned. "Because you're in L.A., you're like, 'Man, this is just the vibe in L.A.' but in Utah, it can kind of lull you to sleep," Iguodala said. "And then you've slept too long or I'm bored out of my mind and now you got to try to pump yourself up for the game. You know you're in the playoffs and you're supposed to be pumped anyway, but the vibe is just like, 'Man, let's just get out of here.'”

Jeff Green is also notoriously inconsistent who looks like one of the best PFs in the league one game before no showing for the next 3 - 4.

It's a nice signing for the minimum to help out the PF rotation but he's not going to be a game changer over the course of the season, and he's proven to be fairly unreliable in playoff series outside of a game here or there.

Kinda like Jae... He would be the fifth starter and really like our 8th or 9th best player... so when he has those big nights you win. When he is bad he just can't be so bad that he hurts us. I think he has to be respected on the perimeter (38% catch and shoot) and that is his main purpose on offense. On defense don't be a sieve. He only plays like 15 minutes a night when we are healthy.

I think like 2.5M... but offer a long term deal and you could get to 4/10.5M and put a player option in there... you just have to get him to sign it and then his caphold effs up their plans...
Exactly. I do think his market might be a bit north of that, though.

He’s a game changer for the Jazz because he can take wear and tear off Bojan and Ingles by allowing them to spend more time at the 3.

When those two are healthy come playoff time from not being beat up, Green is now a game changer.

There we go. I thought he’d said something disparaging about us

He's not the same kind of defender Crowder is though, but that's not really a concern for the Jazz I guess.

You're right but I wouldn't call that game changing, basically any PF worthy of rotation minutes could do that.

If only Dante made like $2M less we could put an offer on the table for Caruso that I think would not get matched.

Not a horrible pickup? But I.got some beef with it if he’s starting. First how is he any different than Crowder, maybe more athletic, but he’s a streak shooter just like Crowder. Other than last year 34%. Not bad but not great. He hasn’t shot better than 32% the five years prior to last year. I would be fine with him coming off the bench, don’t want him anywhere near the starting lineup.
