I select..

Gail Goodrich

Goodrich gave the jazz 3 quality seasons at the tail end of his career.

The best easily was his 77-78 season where he scored 16.1 PPG on 49% shooting.

Interesting fact -

When he signed with the New Orleans Jazz in 1976, per league rules, the Lakers were to receive compensation for losing a veteran free agent. The Lakers and Jazz agreed to send New Orleans' highest pick from the 1979 draft to Los Angeles (along with a 1977 and 1978 number one pick and an additional second round pick). When the Jazz finished the 1978-79 season with the worst record in the NBA, the Lakers were eligible for one of the top two picks of that draft. Until 1985, the two teams with the worst records flipped a coin to determine which team would receive the top pick. The Lakers won the coin flip against the Chicago Bulls, who selected David Greenwood 2nd. The Lakers selected Magic Johnson

the utah jazz could have started their team with Magic Johnson but New Orleans screwed it up.

The perfect compliment to my other starting four. He's a lunchpail guy who can simply be asked to rebound and hep out Shaq down low.

PG - / Henry Bibby
SG - Dr. J / John Havlicek
SF - Scottie Pippen / Matt Harpring
PF - Kevin Garnett / Thurl Bailey
C - Mark Eaton /

I select Hall of Fame Center:
Walt Bellamy

Although Bellamy only played one game for the Jazz he put of some impressive numbers though the 70's Averaging 16 points and 12 rebounds while shooting over 50% from the field. A great value pick here, he gives me a big rotation of 2 HOF Centers and a soon to be HOF PF in Nowitzki.

You are aware that only his Jazz career will be taken into account? You are drafting the Walt Bellamy who scored 6 points and got 5 rebounds, once.

lol, what was the story with that? guess he wanted to retire in new orleans?

i guess you can pick him but you are getting a old guy that was retiring not the Bellamy that is in your description

Yeah but every single one of those points and rebounds were huge, and was likely the difference between the 1974-75 Utah Jazz finishing 23-59 or 22-60. :D

With the whatever the hell pick I am in 70s craptastic pool er Jazz round:

He was a pretty average player for a couple years. He did however have a pretty pimp mustache and some oddly place upper chest/frontal neck hair.... He'll be best used fending off the white hoes from Kobe.
