Right. But I think Westbrook could be more efficient in a D'Antoni system and with actual shooters to spread the floor for his athleticism.

I think people underestimate how much Billy Donovans offense sucks and how much a lack of shooting has hurt both OKC and Westbrook for YEARS because Presti refused to ever address it. He just ignored the problem.

or it's just OKC has let Russ do whatever the hell he wants and never tried to reign him in or hold him accountable / coach him.

And D’Antoni ain’t the one to fix that. Best case scenario for someone like Russ is if he were to end up with Pop in San Antonio back when Pop had good veterans to work with (and not LMA).

Also it worked for one year and then last year not so much and they ended up ****ing hating each other... the CP Harden pairing made way more sense and it still kinda failed.

Every westbrick shot is a non-Harden or Gordon shot. He’s also a terrible defender... they lost their defensive coach and probably pissed off Capela by trying to trade his *** all summer... gonna be a dumpster fire... hate to see it.

hate to see it ?? wtf is wrong with you !!!

I think you’ve got that backwards. It looks like OKC got a massive haul for PG13 and then got a decent one for Westbrook. They’re tanking the eff out of things moving forward. Watch Bazley get a ton of PT as a rookie.
Indeed.

That kind of is the D’Antoni system. Works when you have harden and Nash.

****, the west just continues to build. 19-20 is going to be insane.

But, I might be crazy here...CPs midrange game is what killed us the most. This might help Utah.
I think it helps us. I think Westbrook is a ball stopper. So is harden. I don't think they will be better together than cp3 and harden were, in fact I think they will be worse because Westbrook is not the spot up threat cp3 was. At worst it's a wash, but I think it'll be a net negative to Houston in the long run.

LeBron/AD
Kawhi/Pushoff P
Jokic/Murray
Lillard/McConnell
Aldridge/DeRozan
Harden/Westbrook
Curry/DLo

So you're saying we are definitely winning the championship? Hot damn!

Also notice we are the only team with 3 stars. Heh.

Gotta admit I wanted to see Westbrook in New York for the drama or LAL for a more drama. Houston is kind of boring. E

Both guys can shoot. CP is also a good defender. What positive things does Westbrook do when he doesn’t have the ball?

I don't disagree with any of this. Westbrook and Harden are both better with the ball in their hands and it's a valid concern as to how they cooperate on the court together. But you're ignoring the potential positives of this trade for Houston too. Westbrook is playing with good shooters and playing in a good offensive system for the first time in his career I think. He's going to have an easier time getting to the rim. He's going to get easier looks. He's going to get more rest. Harden is going to get more rest. As a whole they probably come out somewhat even in this deal.

They were very close to winning a championship. The combination led to historic offensive seasons. A 65 win season. Multiple seasons where they were contenders. It worked.

I'd take a Westbrook shot over a Gordon shot any day lmao. Westbrook is way more dynamic offensively. Gordon shot 40% on a great team with far easier looks than Westbrook last year. Less shots from him is not really a bad thing. You have a good point about Westbrook taking shots from Harden though. Westbrook is not great on defense but I think that saying he's "terrible" is stretching it. We aren't in Capela's mind to know what he's thinking either.

I mean I'd f****** LOVE to see the Rockets be an absolute dumpster fire. Westbrook is probably one of the players I dislike the most in the whole league. And Harden p***** me off with the whining and flopping. D'Antoni is a whiner too with a punchable face. I want them to fail. But I think the JFC is discounting how this move could be a positive for them out of that dislike/hate.
