Westbrook to Houston for CP3

Two former regular season MVPs on the same team, which means neither can win it this season. They both will weep before sleep every night. And who will be the guy? CP3 + Harden worked well because Chris accepted Harden's leadership. Russ won't do that.

You think they're worse they traded a 34 year old, dick head teammate for an MVP that averages triple doubles like Oscar Robinson is his bitch? Riiiiggghhhttt.

I think Mikey Dee Anne Anthony can figure something out to go on another tear next year.

Having an MVP and an MVP finalist definitely makes the Rockets a contender in an already contender heavy conference.

He is also a guy who you hope is taking the shots for the other team. Cause he sucks at it.

It amazes me how many are quick to point out how awful and terrible Westbrook is like he's a scrub. I mean, the dude has his weaknesses, but people are acting like he's a 35 year old Melo.

Yep. They have two players who almost seem indefensible if they’re playing within their selves.

He is extremely rare and unique in that he puts up great numbers and is extremely athletic yet kind of sucks in a weird way.

I mean I love it as a jazz fan when he shoots the ball. There is a reason I love it. It increases our chances of winning.

Then you have all the attitude and personality issues. Plus the huge contract.

Isn’t the next draft meant to be some amazing elite class ?
Looks like OKC going to go ok in the lottery... even if tanking doesn’t mean as much as it once did
Fock it, think I’ll just worry about the Jazz and how we’re flying well under the radar..... it’s better that way

Dude is not what he used to be. Here's a snap of his base stats from 2016 to the end of last season. rwb.JPG
Keep in mind his extremely high usage rage, declining shot (Ricky Rubio was better from 3 and the FT line last season. Ain't THAT something?), expensive contract, personality, and overall game. If he loses any step of his athleticism (which dude is on the north side of 30) and he's screwed. RWB three years ago was MVP worthy. Now he, to me, is overrated. Perhaps he proves me wrong next year.

I actually think him losing a step could help his game. To me, his biggest weakness is he tries to do too much and only has one gear which is 100%. Losing a step could help him find different gears.

Don't get me wrong, it could be a bad deal. I'm just not naive enough to say that it's a done deal. The Rockets looked like they sucked last year and then figured it out and became one of the best teams in the NBA. They did this while Chris Paul was being a bad teammate.

I think Dan Anthony's system is built for a guy like Westbrook. I think Harden and Westbrook can lighten each other's load (lol) and could glue. I think they both have more than a few years of all star level game left in them. I think they could make noise in the league.

The Rockets have had us by our balls the last few years and now have Westbrook and people are acting like they just got 31 year old Antoine Employee #8 Walker. I can hope, but I just don't think it will be that big of a disaster. I hope I'm wrong.

Perhaps, but I don't like the signs if I'm Houston. OKC was literally built around Rustbrook and now he'll have to play second fiddle to Harden. Pretty much Westbrook is Rubio with a knack for rebounds. I give him credit for going 100% all the time, but that's going to catch up eventually. Dude needs to find his stroke again before I think it will work well for the Rox.
