News, rumors and buzz around the draft and free agency

You get to bring 20 guys to training camp.

Conley, Mudiay, NWG
Mitchell, Exum, Oni
Bigdanovic, Jingles, Howard
O’Neale, Green, Niang
Gobert, Davis, Bradley

2-Ways
JWF, Brantley

Non-guaranteed
Kidd, Cousins - one spot left. . .

Isn't Juwan Morgan the 20th guy?

Seems to suggest he'll be in TC. Idk I get confused with camp invites, summer league invites, partial guarantees, etc etc

Thanks. I think that means he gets paid well if he lasts a few months with the Stars. Never heard of an Exhibit 10 contract until this year. Looks like it’ll be a common mechanism going forward.

I’m hopeful that things like the 2 way contracts, affiliate designations and Exhibit 10 contracts mean that the NBA will eventually have the G-league function as a true minor league system with up to 15 guys who are under the umbrella of the NBA club and can be brought up at any time as needed.

Carve out an exemption so the only money that counts against the salary cap are when those guys are officially called up to practice and play for the patent club.

Thabo Sefalosha's wife specifically requested he not re-sign with Utah

https://www.nzz.ch/sport/thabo-sefolosha-bereitet-sich-auf-den-letzten-tanz-vor-ld.1496460

"It's all about my two daughters and my wife," he says. Sefolosha wants his family to feel good - which was not the case anymore in the Mormon state of Utah.

In particular, his wife had suffered in the conservative state, in which rigid moral concepts are widespread, and could not develop. "During her career she has always put her own interests and needs behind her and made great sacrifices," says Sefolosha. Now she has spoken out against another engagement in Salt Lake City.

What the hell was her career that she couldn't develop it in Utah? Hardcore porn?

All utahns and Mormons are white racists. Duh.

one of the more bizarre uses of the word "suffer" I'm taking a stab at some translation context that wasn't quite what was intended
Nope that was the intent. Suffered. Labored could be a possible second meaning but in the sense of suffering, not working. Really in the context suffered was the best translation.
