2020 Presidential election

My two cents is that it will likely come down to Sanders, Warren, and Harris.

Warren would be my pick of the three, but each of them would have a good chance of beating the racist ***** grabber.

I could see Biden just for his ties to Obama, who refuses to endorse him by the way, or Harris being a former prosecutor, but Warren is a nut job.

In the end, my theory is that Trump still wins reelection and dems best bet is to retool for 2024.

I’m not so sure. It depends on how far left they go. There are a lot of voters up for grabs. You can see that right here on this board myself, @colton, @Gameface and @fishonjazz all come to mind. We won’t vote for trump. But I know for me I don’t want to go hard left.

It’ll be interesting to see what messages and tones are used. So far it seems to be the leaders are mostly pushing further left.
I'm not as sure about that. Hillary ran on a pretty moderate platform and wasn't able to get it done. I don't know what qualifies as "hard left" these days, but I think the best strategy is to go after the Obama voters who sat the last election out.

Sarcasm aside, I think we see the field narrow down to 6 here pretty quickly.

Sanders, Biden, Harris, Warren, Castro and Buttegeig will go the distance.
Those are my picks as well. Maybe with Booker taking Buttigieg's or Castro's place.

I see a lot of anti-Trump sentiment on here.

Rightfully so.

Who is going to run against him in 2020 and who actually has a legit chance of beating him?

Biden, Warren, and Harris seem to be the front-runners, but I don't think any of them have a legit chance.

What are their views and policies like?

Likely Democratic party lines with a dash of new-age socialism

I’m interested in hearing these responses. My vote is still up in the air.

I hope so.

Can we stop pretending Hillary Clinton was just another candidate? She was immensely disliked. She had huge negative numbers. She carried decades of dislike from the right. The Ds couldn’t have picked a more limited candidate if they tried. Fair or not it’s the truth.

Harris has the inside track on missing Obama voters I think. Warren a good shot as well.

Yeah, no, I completely agree. She was not an inspiring at all. I think Warren and Sanders probably have the best chance of getting those voters who aren't going to turn out for a run of the mill establishment candidate. They both have a clear vision for America that is firmly planted in what's best for working and middle class Americans.

Warren is extremely intelligent and is a policy wonk. I know that turns some people off who hate trying to understand complicated things, but she's far from a nut job.

As of right now she's my #1.
