What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Going to see the new Fast &The Furious tonight. To be honest, I am mainly going for the popcorn. I have a $5 coupon after all.

Really my comment was more about how bad Passengers was.

I'm not usually a sucker for romance movies, but this one got me. I really loved it. I just watched it last night, so I'm still feeling the love. But yeah, I can see how people would find it the weakest of the movies I saw.

There are movies out right now that I want to see, but I'm not going to have time to see them all. So in your opinion, which ones are "must see" at the theater?

Spiderman - that's a given and I'm going to see this one at the theater this weekend
Yesterday - going to see this with friends next week

Toy Story 4
Lion King
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Rocketman
Men in Black
Dark Phoenix

Someday I really ought to watch the Fast and Furious movies, as well as John Wick.

Out of the ones that you listed, Toy Story 4 was pretty good, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was good (The last 3rd when everything comes together).

Men in Black was okay but feels like a money grab and Dark Phoenix is terrible in my opinion. Haven't seen the other ones yet though I have heard good things about Rocketman.

If you really enjoyed the original Lion King (who didn't!?) I'd recommend the new one. It's almost a scene for scene remake, with a few new jokes peppered in.

The only must see there and I haven’t seen it is Hollywood. It’s tarantino’s last movie and he’s a stud director.

Why is he retiring after 10? And how often do people keep these promises anyway?

I just looked at a list of his movies and I have not seen a single one. Wow.

This is the saddest thing I've read in a long time. Looks like you have some homework to do! Get Netflix fired up and get started on Pulp Fiction.

I was a good little Mormon girl who rarely watched R-rated movies (and certainly not violent ones), which is why I've missed most of these. But yeah, I've been meaning to get to Pulp Fiction first since it is referred to so often.

I like most, if not all of his movies. His style is very unique in directing.

I have an old theater that is going out of business slowly because a new theater popped up in my small town. So as a dying business move, they are offering unlimited movies for 18 dollars a month. I haven’t went to the old theater because of their 20 dollar popcorn but I’m all in on the unlimited for 18 bucks. And I will just sneak in a snack lol

So, movie recap for Hobbs &Shaw. The popcorn was great! The end.

Seriously though, the movie was a bit cheesy and had literally nothing to do with the series namesake other than the 2 leading characters. It was just an action movie but it was still entertaining.

Iirc he believes a director has a finite fertile mind for film and after 10, they just don’t have the creative juices and passion they once had.

So you didn't see fast and furious? Or is Hobbs and Shaw a fast and the furious related movie?

I just finished Avengers Endgame.
Thought it was fantastic. One of the top 5 movies in the franchise imo. The best of all the avenger universe movies to me was infinity war though. I thought it was a perfect masterpiece.

Thanos is probably my favorite character of all of them.

I figure the Avengers movies has to be the most amazing thing ever done in the history of film. I mean there were like what, 30 movies or something? All of them connected, most of them great or even better. Kept all the actors for each. Many many big name great actors. Box office breaking movie after box office breaking movie. Insane budgets. Simply groundbreaking and outstanding.

Don't know if we will ever see anything that matches it again. Nothing has come close in the past.
